Re: Michail Antonio
On another note, Antonio is now the joint highest scorer for the club in all European competitions we’ve competed in. Alongside Jarrod, Johnny Byrne and David Cross!

Re: Michail Antonio
Typical Antonio, scores 2 really good goals last night, neither of which were 'easy' chances but put him through one on one with the keeper and you know the end result.
Anyway, great performance from the big man to hopefully silence some of his critics of late.

Re: Michail Antonio
Great to see him bag 2, overchuffed for him.
Carlton Cole mentioned in the studio that considering what Mike has gone through the last year he is really pleased for him - slip up from Carlton? or have I missed something? Or he just meant a lean season in front of goal?

Re: Michail Antonio
That 23 year old isn't indifferent about staying, he's desperate to get on a plane to Italy. Our centre forward scores 2 and hits the inside of the post with another and you're suggesting he should'nt have played? Antonio is criticised for poor finishing, justifiably, but he was deadly last night

Re: Michail Antonio
So close to a third, both with the initial shot and then cms away from reaching the rebound off the post.

I have heard so many drunk men making their piss in pub toilets talking to themselves saying exactly that.......

Re: Michail Antonio
It's amazing to see what he is capable of when he plays against defenders that stand off him and don't close him down.

Re: Michail Antonio
A great proportion of our goals in recent years have involved some participation by Micky.
I'm always happy to see him starting.

Re: Michail Antonio
Please for big Mike. Two very good goals, a little unlucky not to get the third.
I know we have better finishers in that position but as a team we don't look as dangerous without him.

Re: Michail Antonio
That is something he can never be accused of
If anything he has been more effective/ successful against the better sides in his career, than the weaker ones

Re: Michail Antonio
A West Ham player* scores two goals in the last 16 of a European competition & the next day we get this.
You do have to wonder about some 'fans'.
* Our highest goalscorer of the last 30 odd years.

Re: Michail Antonio
been a good player for us but at 33 years old now the time is closing in on his career. we need younger and better players now. one more season of antonio from the bench will help prolong the happy memories of him. no longer a starter for me.
