Can't think of anything worse.

Ant and Dec (and their pet homunculus Stephen Mulhern), on the telly for the rest of forever, until the sun finally expands, engulfs us and puts us all out of our collective misery.

Not for me.

Come sweet death, one last caress.

Ok , I haven't looked too deeply into it but if you shot an Immortal in the head blowing his poor brains out I'm going to guess he ceases to be immortal ?

I could be wrong of course .

Just because you become immune to disease surely a bullet or an axe to the head will still kill you - Bit like a Vampire ?

Ok , getting too morbid for me now .

This throws up a great philosophical question about Buddhism and Buddhist monks.

On the one hand, a never ending life span gives plenty of time to pursue Nibbana.

On the other hand, a never ending life span means they'll never attain it.

Does it then render the whole thing pointless? Or, will they be able to achieve Nibbana while in earthly form?

I'd imagine a couple of hundred years of devout meditation would have quite a profound effect on the mind.
