AI picks the best XI of all time (non WHU?)

Post by Johnny Byrne's Boots »

The best eleven of all time, according to Chat GPT

**** truncated image. The keeper is Buffon

No Moore. Having grown up when both he and Beckenbauer were at their peak, I can't argue with the choice, but equally if Moore was chosen instead I wouldn't swap either. Sadly there's only room for one of those greats.

Not sure about the FBs or having one central midfielder. Wasn’t Maldini a better CH than LB?

Gerd Muller and Puskas should be in with a shout and Pele was no pivot, but individually it’s hard to argue with that attack.

Every player is from the latter half of the pro football era. I suppose that’s inevitable, but I bet you could assemble a team from the first half that would give them a game on their terms.

No Brits despite having given the world the game! Not participating in European football or the World Cup until later set football back here.

Only one Ronaldo owned and won a World Cup, and it wasn’t the fella in that line-up.

I would rather have Xavi and that Ronaldo in my team than Zidane or the winker.

These are like Lawro line ups. All about fitting in show piece players. No one wants to make a real difficult choice so we shoehorn in players.

Zidane as the deepest midfield, with Maradona next to him, that team gets done by peak Liverpool on the break.
Everyone is great on the ball but no one wins it or defends.

Put the best pivot/DM and let the others play.

Is it a team, they would need a very strong team. Too many superstars for my liking, need a bit more steel.

Everyone focuses on current players or when you were a kid too much. Everything I've read makes me think Puskas should be there somewhere.
