*Bump*

Went to an "Evening with Sir Carlton" and Mark Ward last night. I expected the usual watered down, toe the party line from a club representative type of event.

It was anything but. Quite controversial too. :shocker:

The real stand out was how the coaches of our youth teams, that have been flying btw, have been asked to "change the way they coach the kids". Apparently they play a more possession based style that is being frowned upon from above (I'm guessing DM).

If we went down, he advocated Vincent Kompany as a possible replacement.

The loss of Pearce and Noble were cited as possible reasons as to our poor season.

Was less than complimentary about Scamacca, and also mentioned that the signings of him and Paqueta were never going to work due to the stubbornness of the managers' style of play.

Mark Ward is always in the corporate section at games too so I assume he is also employed by the club in some form or at least on an ambassador role. Made me laugh when him and Kevin Keen were asked by a fan (who clearly had no idea who they were) to show them to their seats.

To be fair to them they were polite to the guy and tried to him out 😂

But DM affecting the way Youth play.... Is bad. They are smashing it.

Who is our academy director now?

Also what did they say about Scamacca?

Sounding not dissimilar to the guy on Claret and Booze via YouTube going on about hearing some decidedly critical views of Moyes and the situation surrounding him, from an internal ‘coach’. Deeply concerning shitfest developing I fear and as usual no one with power within the club sees it or is capable of sorting it, just frozen in inaction. Seems to be the natural result of any period of relative calm at the club leading to a widespread delusional sleep walk into the next disaster. We can argue what the common denominator might be.

The only thing that's interesting is DM's lack of interest in our youth.
