Sim games for windows 10

Post by jevs »

My desktop is thus....with a 28" curved screen monitor

11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
16.0 GB (15.6 GB usable)
Not sure about graphics or where to find what graphics stuff I have.

Anyways, i'm looking to get a couple of simulation games. Back in the day, we had Rollorcoaster tycoon, theme park, sim city, theme hospital etc etc which I loved.

I saw the bosses "Skylines 2" plus i've seen a farmyard sim and a train driver sim. I've also got or had all the flight sims

Any suggestion of anything that could stimulate my bored brain?

You can get Sim anything these days. Lawnmower, Lorry, Train, Farm, Goat et al. Look on Steam.

The Sims 4 is dirt cheap too now as there's a new version coming out soon.

If it's population/city management games you're into, take a look at the PC Gamer link in my first post here: viewtopic.php?t=185701

Cities Skylines, as mentioned. Anno 1800 has been sitting near the top of my playlist for quite some time, though it's a bit of a time sink so maybe not for everyone. Superb though.

A bit more simmy there is Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus which are both great, but I recommend Hospital. It's essentially a remake of Theme Hospital.

You also have things like Zoo Tycoon. I personally prefer Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster. They can be just about as complicated or as simple and laid back as you would like.

The Tropico series too, although I've never really into any of those.

If you liked Theme Hospital there is Two Point Hospital which is basically the same thing but modern. It's a British company as well!

They also released Two Point Campus last year, but I've not looked into that.

Got me thinking about Maxis games now and when they went overboard with the Sim series int he early 90s my personal favourites were SimAnt and SimFarm

If you're not too fussed about the unrealistic premise and are looking for a fun town builder, look no further than Timberborn. Yes, it's in Early Access on Steam and yes, it is a game about a society of sentient beavers... but I haven't had this much fun with a town builder game in a very long time.
