I still find it amazing we’ve not been able to put anyone up as an alternative to Khan. The bloke isn’t just a pillock, he’s utterly useless.

Not a fan of Paul Scully but got to be an improvement on Khan. I’d have liked Steve Baker or Charles Walker to have given it a crack.

They have their views, some I like some I don’t, but at least they aren’t just yes men who tow the party line.

Pick an inanimate object, anything. That inanimate object would have served London better than any three of the wankspangle liabilities we've suffered as mayors........

It looks like the Tories have given up on this election already with their shortlist.

The front runner Paul Scully didn't make it

The choice for them is:
Susan Hall- Who sits on the right of the Tory party and will play into the cultural war stuff, if she were to get it, it will give everyone an insight into how the Tories are going to run a national campaign
Mozammel Hossain- A massive unknown (didn't even want to go public unless he made the final 3)
Daniel Korski- who supports road pricing with such items like pay per mile ( that will go down well)

It's a shame khan is standing for a 3rd term. He is introducing ulez London wide (that's for another discussion) but he could easily go out saying right that's my legacy I'm proud of that

Instead standing a 3rd time when he isn't that popular

Personally I'd of liked to see someone else put forward for labour

So the Tories have picked Susan Hall.

They are just handing Khan a 3rd term.

Come the election ulez will have been forgotten about as 95% of people won’t be affected by it.

She was a bit supporter of Boris, trump and brexit all of which don’t play well in london. She is also one that will play into the cultural war campaign that the Tories are going to run nationally. Khan is pretty nailed on to win. He isn’t great but he is better than a Tory

She also praised the Truss- Kwateng mini budget.
I bet she also supported ULEZ when it was introduced under Johnsons Mayoral reign.

Ok , I don't live in London and it's been a while since I was there ...but , hasn't Khan been elected twice already ?

That would make him POPULAR in my book .

Khan is simply not a tory

He was first up against zach goldsmith

Then against shaun bailey

Both terrible choices

Also he followed boris who had been a diaster of broken promises

Yet Boris Johnson was quite popular was he not - 52% thought he did a ' Good Job ' while just 29% of Londoners believed he did a ' Bad Job ' - not sure what the other 19% thought .

I guess whoever's in charge , he or she will be unpopular with a certain percentage - I liked Ken Livingstone for instance - because of him I was allowed to play golf at Barnet Golf Club every Wednesday , true story .
