I've heard enough to try to avoid hearing anymore.
They're one of several huge bands that for no obvious reason I just can't get along with, but you ought to have a listen just in case KH

You will definitely have heard some of their stuff, even if only in passing from a source such as an advert, or coming out of someone's stereo as they are passing etc. Its modern rock, realistically. Not metal, but definitely rock.

Not really my bag, too, but

(a) Dave Grohl was part of Nirvana and they were a decent band, and
(b) Either just Grohl, or the whole band, fairly recently equipped some massive vehicle to drive past one of those 'God Hates Fags' churches in the US, with a drag queen singing karaoke over the top of it.

Two reasons to like them, in my view.
