That’s because most everything was made pre war back then mind. It showed us what the Empire once was, not what it still was even if it reflected the Commonwealth. In my 60s school in Barking even though the Empire was hardly overtly criticised, equally it wasn’t glorified either, looking back I try to think if I am re imagining that, yes there was some massaging but I am in fact quite surprised that it was beginning to be re assessed and guilt emerging even then. after all DK did pull his options when it looked like we might drop to the Fizzy so maybe he wants to allow the present mob to take all the credit if we win the whole thing ?
and also perhaps what Jacob has printed might influence DK to bin off DM and hire a new bloke ?

I refuse to believe Sullivan ever buggering off until I actually see it. He’s too much of a control freak.
To be fair, I’m not entirely convinced with Kretinsky anyway. The amount of managers he’s sacked at his other club hasn’t exactly filled me with much confidence. Sparta Prague haven’t even won that many league titles under his watch in what is a 2 team league.
Hope he proves me wrong if he does takeover though.
