Means f*** all. If you're West Ham you don't do this on the eve of the final just because it's good for you career. I know he's your mate, but he's a prick for doing this.

Might I suggest the birth of the term 'click prick'?

That's absolutely fine. Just don't pretend to be a West Ham fan then. You can't have it both ways. A fan would never undermine their club on the eve of a huge final. Never.

Behind the scenes strife didn’t do Celtic any favours before the 1970 European Cup Final.

Of course you can. What's he supposed to do? Not do his job as he supports the team he's reporting on? Or just completely lie and say Moyes is about to sign a new contract and Rice will stay? Both of which could hurt his credibility going forward. Is it helpful? No, but he's not doing anything wrong tbh. Doing his job, does not make him less of a West Ham fan, because of the article contents.

Someone at the club seems to think leaking ‘one game to save his job’ whenever they really, really want us to win the next game is how they help motivate the team.

“It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for them.”

Wish I knew how to post GIf’s like S-H…

Cannot see how anyone involved in the club thinks this is helpful.
Absolute clowns if they make that decision based on the outcome of one match. He’s either the manager to keep for next season or he’s not, whatever happens in one game next week. Idiots.

Cannot see how anyone involved in the club thinks this is helpful. I can only assume Jacob has to report it, because all would rather we didn't have tittle-tattle and added pressure ahead of our biggest game in god knows how long.

It makes what he's done as our manager all the more impressive, because the club is set up to fail and tries it hardest to do it.
I agree, but the article itself is no more than the usual unsubstantiated diatribe we get from Ex or C&H. Regurgitated speculation, without any new insight. How all these people earn money from this is mind numbing.

Has he given them a transfer list and they think it’s not very good or rubbish value for money.

Would probably so the change in attitude.

If it has been leaked by the club - perhaps they are trying to encourage Celtic to make him an offer so that it becomes Moyes’ decision to leave (and saves them money to let him go)?

He’d lose his job, and be laughed out of interviews for others.

“Sorry, boss, I don’t want to publish this. It’s a bit awkward and doesn’t help the club I support, even though it’s news and will do exactly what you’d want from a story I’d publish.”

Probably count ourselves lucky it’s a West Ham fan dealing with West Ham news, otherwise it would be worse.

I’d argue that it’s probably sourced and not speculation, but because we don’t quote sources in sports stories like this, it’s easy to mimic by the nonsense sites who know they can hide behind lies because they sound similar.

That article could have been written at many points in time, this season. Just change what was said in the presser.

What manager in the Premier League would be safe, after dropping that many places in the league, and having spent as much as we did? :eyes:

Can't see anyone at the club taking it too seriously.

Tell you what, I look forward to not thinking about Moyes, Rice, Antonio, Sullivan and West Ham for a few weeks after this final. It's a constant **** show and it gets exhausting after a while.
