Snooker: 11-year-old rising through the ranks

Post by Up the Junction »

The youngest Q School qualifier previously was Chinese player Lei Peifan - 15 at the time.

Still a long way to go, however - he's only won one match and this win sends Mstr Abbas through to the last 64, with only the final remaining four being guaranteed two-year tour cards.

Not quite sure how he'd get on the world tour and attend school at the same time, but...

For the record, anyone can participate in Q school - if you're willing to stump up the £800 entry fee.
