Following on from the similar thread in MF&TV - who/what are your favourites?

I'd go for:

1. Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2)
2. John Marston (Red Dead Redemption)
3. Pip-Boy (Fallout series)
4. Pac Man (Pac Man)
5. Miner Willy (Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy)

Kim Kitsuragi (Disco Elysium)
Harry Du Bois (Disco Elysium)
Niko Belic (GTA 4)
James Sunderland (Silent Hill 2)
John Marston (RDR)

Five exceptionally written characters. Maybe there are more iconic visual characters but these for me are the deepest and best written.

Interesting.

I always thought Zidane veered too far away from the lead characters that preceded him (Squall, Cloud). He was too positive and happy go lucky for me, which says more about me than anything I think.

Freya was easily the most interesting in 9 I think.

I tried to replay 9 a little while ago and I couldn't get on with it at all. It felt so slow. I'm assuming it's near the top of your favourite games with Zidane and Vivi top 2?

Yep, it is my favourite game and has been ever since it came out.

I couldn't warm to Squall as I did like him being a complete misery all the time. Cloud was better, just a bit dull. I liked Zidane's happy go lucky personality and older brother role he had with Vivi.

It is a bit slow and I don't think I can play the original again now I've played the remake with x3 speed and no encounters mode.
