Cottage Cheese

Post by Shabu »

It's back in fashion.

When I think of cottage cheese I think of the early 80s. Aerobics, sweatbands, tight white shorts, Rivita bread cracker type thing.

Well now it's back. We're selling loads of the stuff.

But what the f*** do people eat it with? I've never had it. Isn't it gooey? You can't make a sandwich out of it. Shove it in a lasagne?

Why is cottage cheese popular again?

Love the cottage cheese with pineapple. Jacket spud, in a salad, on crackers....love it.

Have it all the time, great stuff. Needs to be full fat though. I like it mixed with blueberries, sunflower & pumpkin seeds, maybe some dried mango, a handful of porridge oats, black pepper and a big glug of olive oil. Splendid, filling lunch.

Basically, an alternative to Greek yoghurt.

Reading this thread makes me think that it's the Marmite of cheese which then gave me a great idea to buy a tub & infuse it with Marmite.

Then spread that toast with some sliced avocado.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

p.s. Marmite is already ahead of me...
