I argued for days that the Wolves goal was rightly disallowed for offside, so i'm agreeing with the refs on that one.

Diogenes wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2024 9:43 pm I agree it was very harsh. However, the on field linesman gave it and the ref therefore gave it offside subject to VAR who review all goals. Therefore VAR had to decide whether the on field officials had made an obvious error. The linesman could/should have kept his flag down and I think it would have been given. I don't understand why he flagged it because he didn't have to, unless the offside player touched it, which he clearly didn't. Linesman cock up.
Well that clears that up then. In other news Howard Webb has just climaxed.

Really? I think most games have been entertaining. It's the supposed favorites that have been disappointing, imo.

Assume that is due to it being head to head that decides the group?
So they can only pull level with Austria, who have beaten them.

I think that's the right decision to disallow the goal.
Obviously in an offside position.
He's standing next to the keeper influencing his decision making and thus interfering with play.
I agree with this ⬆️

Good to see the English VAR team getting their 5 minutes of fame.
