I hope he does, but I don't think he will, sadly.

Yeah me too, as well as peoples surprise that the manager finds a need for him, people seem to believe he’s only good for a Moyes side and therefore should be jettisoned, thats not how i see it, saying that I also believe that every player at the club has a price that we should do business at, no one is irreplaceable.

I’m giving that the :newthumb: even though they are a pair of c****.

I love Soucek as a concept, but I came to ****ing Tampa and still watched him pass the ball off the pitch behind our player. It’s not good enough.

Me neither the fella has qualities and passing is not one of them. He did well in a team that bypassed the midfield a lot and sat on the edge of its own box.
He can’t pass and he can’t press we want to be a possession based team that has a high press.
Absolutely no different to asking gallery/scammaca to run the channels under Moyes. Not their skill set

Interestingly, you could similarly list the fantastic achievements of Michail Antonio at West Ham, but you won't find the same defensiveness of him when it is suggested that his time is up.
One has bled for the club more than once and the other cried about the club on a podcast...

I don't disagree that it is possible to raise concerns about Soucek, Ward-Prowse etc and suggest we move on but only a handful (including your good self) do it in a respectful way.

Think every player is up for debate. I never thought Benrahma was good enough for a top ten team, but he played an important role in some of our best moments in recent times.

I think Ward-Prowse is a better overall player than Soucek, and I can see Alvarez playing the shuttler role very effectively if we sign Guido Rodriguez, who from everything I hear is good enough to play 90 minutes every week. Then we have young players waiting in the wings for minutes who I expect to be decent enough for 5/10 minute cameos.

Paqueta needs an understudy as the creative outlet, but perhaps that Guillherme or even Kudus in the middle.

If everything goes to plan I completely see the reasoning to sell Soucek to make enough back to bring in a CB/LB/RB. I'll just be a bit sad about it.

I meant the era. Came in and I think influenced a lot with his work rate. Scored goals, put his head in where he shouldn't, took kicks, really changed where we were and where we were going. I honestly look at his signing as a catalyst for how the last few years have gone

I will never understand travelling to Florida to watch a makeshift PL team take on another PL team. Not my place to spend your money or time, but I find it utterly baffling. Good luck to you.

Don't do it lads, it ends in tears. And with Sullivan making money out of it.
I've always stuck up for Soucek, but sadly in a Loppy team he just won't fit in to what the manager wants his centre midfielders to do when Alvarez is fit Paqueta available where will he fit in ,his passing isn't anywhere near good enough to start games he could make a very good impact sub when chasing a game or trying to close a game down but definitely not a starter ,centre back and right back still needed after the two today

I’d imagine Tim and Juliens targets and bonuses are based on league position and European qualification as has been the way of their predecessors
And for every Manager Ozza. No different here than anywhere else. I'm not really sure what blueprint you are looking for. A managers preferred 'style' will mostly dictate player selection, but planning for a long term horizon is pointless for him. The big change from Manager to a Director/Coach model is a strategy, that we need to see play out over a few years.

I'd agree. One of the best and most consistent of the Premier League era for me.

Not sure thats true mate, there is clearly a strategy and a blueprint at places like Brighton regardless of who the head coach is, plenty of other examples.

We’ve always looked at the here and now, i never see that changing under Sullivan

Agree - what he lacks in finess he makes up in effort at both ends of the pitch ⚒

i could see duran flopping if signed on his own. i don't think he would, but i could certainly imagine it. he needs to mature and with the pressure of being our marquee striker signing on our shoulders i don't think it would take much for his confidence to get knocked and he'd bore the full brunt of the "what a waste of money" sentiment.

i don't have any such concerns about fullkrug. if we are set up in a defined way where he plays a role that suits him, i have 0 doubts about him doing his bit and just as importantly, driving those on around him.

i'd still quite like them both.

Incomings first before outgoings I reckon.

But I cant see a place for Cornet now thst we have Summerville, same for Ings now we have Fullkrug.

They must surely be the first two outgoings?
