So they are removing the incentives to buy an electric vehicle.
They have been doing that for ages. The government hasn't been very supportive of the switch whilst banning sales.
The tax is right though, mine will renew at £0 for both cars in march 25 then from march 26 we will pay the £170 or whatever it said.
We use the roads we should be taxed, considering I pay less than £10 a month to run two cars I'll take that over the £150 in fuel I was burning

^^^^I'll wager the children of rich people still get driven to school, it's just the poor ones who walk.
As it should be, they could also have the decency to walk behind those of obviously higher standing and attach hoses to themselves, breathing in the fumes directly from the vehicles, thus purifying the atmosphere for the benefit of everyone.

The Mayor is once again looking to fully pedestrianise Oxford St, which is a start i suppose.
Personally i would prefer a much larger area to be car free for 18 hours a day.
Kings x station to Charing x, and Liverpool st to Paddington.
He needs the courage of his convictions.
I would also look at banning car ownership within the North circular and South Circular.
