With Todibo to come in, plus Soler, I really feel positive especially once we start to gel. A squad the envy of anyone outside top 6.

We are so massive, that today we decided, without actually playing a game....and just off our own bat. That we will move ourselves up the Premier League table, by one place.

We didn't ask anyone, we didn't ask the Premier League........we just did it because we felt like it.

Massive !! And without rules. Hard.....we just did it, try and sue. we ain't scared.

We didn't lose. Away to a club that spanked us 7 nil last season.

One of our fringe players scored. Two of our starters also showed why they'll be fringe players in future.

James Ward Prowse played the whole 90 minutes in a win.

Soler showed that he's as good as Alvarez & Rodriguez at getting yellow cards.

We have a week of rest & training together before we beat Chelsea.

We're not Everton

4 points from 4 games given the fixtures is a reasonable return and gives us a platform to build on should we decide to start playing football and not going in with a plan A of lumping it up to antonio and soucek.

Hugged a new bloke today. I didn’t even like him, especially when he fell on me at the end, but we had a bear hug, shook hands and will never see each other again. It was like a one minute affair.

I thought I'd come on here this morning and escape all the angst and rending of clothing on the match thread. As I feared it's like the Wailing Wall over there.

Patience folks. At the end of last season, whoever took over, or indeed if Moyes had remained in place, it was apparently to anyone with even only half an eyeball that the team was in need of a major rebuild. With no European football on offer, I honestly thought we would be lucky to get in two or three semi-decent signings and perhaps a couple of journeyman pros to make up the numbers. We have done somewhat better than that. Admittedly a couple of the signings are probably stop-gaps for this season only but there has been a proper structure and shape in attempting to put together a squad that can survive in the world's most highly competitive league and have an eye on building for the future. Don't forget none of our competitors are standing still either, they too have been looking to strengthen their squads.

I also envisaged us being around nether regions of the league up until the New Year as the new coach got the squad to adapt to his style and methods. I now think we will do rather better than that. It might only be mid table obscurity up to Christmas but after that we might motor on and find ourselves challenging for one of the European spots.

Yes, it's natural to be champing at the bit and wanting to see the new Iniesta or Eto'o in claret and blue but, tempered with a healthy dose of realism, please give the new coach and the squad some time to gel and develop. They will gain encouragement from support.

Unbeaten on the road so far.

2 late goals already this season too, which shows the players have character.

Fantastic post. And the fact that someone who lives in Thailand is telling us to have patience is the cherry on top

C'mon mate,.this is the positivity thread!

I believe the two of you will find each other again and your brief romance will bloom into something much more serious.

I'm already buying a hat for the wedding :lover:

Compared with the same games last season we are currently 3 points better off after 4 games.

If that improvement continues we will end the season with 80.5 points. CL here we coime. Is that positive enough ?

Or iks deluded a more appropriate comment ?

Clear defensive improvements.

Only CL teams have beaten us.

Bowen is captain now.

Best home and away kits in years.

We have 4 points. We've played 3 of last season's top 6 at home. Andy Irving made his storied debut.
