If they had said 1 extra match for seriousness of offence (considering his first red card ever. In his entire career) I'd agree with it

He wasn't kicking him tho, he was trying to play the ball that the player was shielding. It's widely accepted it was a yellow card offence for the tackle at most not a red.

If you get sent off, and then throw a paddy when leaving the field you will get an extra ban
If you get sent off and then are deemed to commit violent conduct before you leave the field you will get an extra ban

That is what has happened here

you can argue the extra ban for what happened after he was originally sent off was harsh, but it is within the laws to hand out an extra ban for the violent conduct against Sarr

You can be punished for 2 red card offences in the same game.

He didn't get 2 red cards. He got a red for the VdV bit and 3 games. For what came after he was charged by the FA with violent conduct - starting tariff 3 games.

Because we appealed against an extra ban and the player got extra time to write down a statement etc. .

The violent conduct on Sarr would have got him sent off and banned for 3 games. They have come down to 2 due to his history and apology. How would you get that to 1 game?

I wonder if we will appeal the extra 2 games and try and get it down to one more. however he lost it and deserved to be banned for 3 games plus one more.
