what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

The Shipwright's Arms, Tooley St. Looking for a pub for a few beers after the match on Sat around the L Bridge area as it would help the small group of us with getting home in different directions. Wanted to find something different to the usual Southwark Tavern/Market Porter route, came across this pub on google maps and gave it a go. Decent pub, no frills, some good music on the speakers but not overwhelmingly loud, busy but not crushingly so, a good drop of London Pale Ale (I think Southwark Brewery?). 3 pints + a bag of nuts = £16, so fairly reasonably priced (for London!).

The Black Horse Inn, Thorndon (near Eye), Suffolk

Free house in a small village in the middle of nowhere really. Open fire. Plenty of beer selection including the local Adnams Southwold Bitter. Free House sign, extensive food menu with no hint of it being a chain pub owned by a large entity. Very friendly service. Banging food and good reviews of other food items previously from family who went there. Good amount of car parking. A solid 10 in my book.
