How did it pan out for you L.C.
I absolutely loved it, Robbie. Band was as tight as a drum, crowd were berserk in the best way possible, and I bought three t-shirts from the merch table. Even mrs.caress had a bit of a dance. When they launched into Circle of the Tyrants I thought I'd died and gone to Death Metal Heaven.
And even though we were a trifle put out by having to wait two hours for anything to happen due to the sudden (but quite understandable, given the circumstances) breakup of Sadus only a couple of hours before the gig, it occurred to me that I actually don't give two ****s for Sadus. So even that was fine, really. Meant everybody was more leisurely at the bars and at the merch table.
Fantastic to hear L.C. I'm pleased that your Mrs enjoyed them as well. Circle Of The Tyrants is an awesome cover and Obituary do it with groove!
I was a bit gutted as I couldn't get the tour shirt. We stayed in the pub due to lack of interest in the support I'm ashamed to say and they sold out in my size.
Not to worry though, they were ace as always.

I'll be honest Neath. I am an Anthrax fan for their old school stuff mainly. I went off them slightly when they matured although musically they were still great.
I just love their solid Thrash era.
Live, they are still absolutely tight as ****. Scott Ian is a massive legend.
They've just been so consistent album wise imo, even loved the John Bush era. Not many of the thrash genre can lay claim to that. Agree with you about Scott Ian but Charlie Benante is the main man in that band for me. Not only an incredible drummer, but writes the majority of the music. Such a talented guy.
So I’ve possibly just come back from potentially the best gig I will ever attend in my life.
Paul McCartney’s final show of the Got Back tour at The o2.
It was my first time seeing a Beatle live, and whilst I missed them being born in the late 80’s, I was brought up listening to them with my parents both being huge fans. So it was already going to be a special one.
The set list was just full of so many incredible songs, from The Beatles, Wings, as well as his solo stuff - 36 in total in a 2 hour 45 minute show. Whilst his voice might not hold up completely (no criticism - he’s 82!), it’s still as iconic as the songs themselves. His incredible band - who he’s played with longer than both notable bands he was in - were incredibly tight and entertaining. It was all just perfect.
But then… it somehow got better than perfect. It was time to perform the iconic Get Back, so he brings out a surprise guest, none other than Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood!
I’ve Got A Feeling is special in itself as we’ve known from this tour as John Lennon virtually sings with Paul. The thought of seeing The Beatles perform together is pure heaven to me.
So imagine how it felt when Paul says we have another special guest for the reprise of Sgt Pepper and Helter Skelter - the one, the only, Ringo Starr!!! My first gig seeing a Beatle in London, and like the buses, 2 come along at once.
Cancel Christmas, it’s not going to better tonight.
That sounds amazing aaron, I watched his Glastonbury set two years ago in awe live on tv but to have witnessed him live at the gig itself is something rather special I imagine. A proper pre Christmas treat.
I came on here to say much the same as CRS, about Aaron’s PM gig. He certainly can write and perform a tune. I’ve not been hugely into the Beatles but watched the documentary recently - Get Back is a fabulous album, made all the better by Billy Preston’s keys.
Just on the bus on the way to see pop punk old timers The Boys. Their debut single (I Don't Care, 1977) was the first record I boight with my own money.
Going with a mate who's never heard them before. I linked to a couple of tracks and he said "they're like equal parts Rubettes and Ramones", which is bang on the money.
Just picked up a ticket to Trivium (playing Ascendancy in full) and Bullet for my Valentine (playing The Poison in full) next Sat at the O2... with the mighty Orbit Culture supporting!
It's going to be an absolute metal fest, a beast of a gig, I haven't been this excited about a gig for a long, long time.
Not booked anything yet but discovered that The Zutons, Supergrass, Republica, Sleeper, Black Grape, Dodgy are all playing in Nottingham this year. Might try and get to one or two of those.

Simple Minds in Glasgow June 27th
Support from Blossoms and KT Tunstall
The last time I saw Simple Minds was 2013 at the O2 when they had Ultravox as support. Looking forward to seeing them again.
Looking forward to this even more now as I misread the gig line ups for the Belahouston Park Summer Concerts. Blossoms are actually supporting Stereophonics June 28th. The main support act for the Simple Minds gig on the 27th is none other than Future Islands, a band I’ve wanted to catch live for sometime.
In the run up to Christmas, My wife subtly hinted the Jason Donovan was playing in Bath at the end of February, so off I trot and get tickets for her birthday only to realise, that I’ve got to go with her…..
