Apparently West Ham have a deal with a rehabilitation centre but I imagine it must be costing an absolute fortune.

I mean all well and good if it gets them back fit sooner, if at all I add, but hopefully staying on the positive.

I just wonder why this can't be done at our club with our physios.
It's our goodbye present to them both.

By the time his 4 year deal ends he’ll be a few months past 35.

And judging by his weight after the injury before this fella will struggle to keep the pounds down after each end of season break.

If he’s not careful he will be the German equivalent of Jon Parkin rather than Shearer.

We'll probably still be paying for him then too. :fsake:

Strangely it is also Guilherme’s birthday today. Did Tim consult a psychic before the signings in the summer :chin:

If he never plays for us again does he become our all time worst signing?

Fullkrug is a seriously good player . Just unfortunate with injuries this season. Check out his goals and assists record even this season.

Top striker imo, he's got the tools we need, just unlucky with injuries this season, if he can have a good spell without injuries, he can still be a good signing.

This is the longest he's been injured (I know he played some minutes between the two injuries) since ca 2018-2020, when he was out about 400 days. Only about 110 days out in 2020/21, so less "unlucky" then.

I’m sharing the optimism - or trying to at least. On paper a really good player, and not injury prone in the way Andy Carroll was. He and we just got very unlucky.

I hope we can either get him back and fit and he’ll be an excellent player for us, or more likely, ship him back to his home town club for not too much of a hit on wages and signing fee.

A poor signing; but that’s not his fault.

And we still have him for 3 years and 5 months remaining on our books. A hilarious kind of a bad transfer deal. And the worst part, the big excuse for the Ings one, gifting Fülle that type of deal was totally avoidable. The just sacked jet guy had over a year to work on a deal for our next centre foward signing. No Moyes to veto things, instead a full summer to work and execute. He went for one of his private chums.
And the chum is not suited for the high intense Premier League.

Highest paid player at Werder Bremen €45k p/w.

Fülle right now €120-130k p/w

It might not be a very sensible signing, but there is nothing to suggest he isn't suited for the Prmeier League. He has looked good in his fleeting appearances

This bloke is far from our worst ever signing . Moyes fans are all over the back of steitden signings . Gullermhe has already been written off at 18 . Yet Antonio not getting a new deal is a bad look on the club. From the biggest culprit on here .

Fullkrug is a very good player and one I'm sure our new gaffer will really value next season

This season has been a disaster injury wise though for sure... but it doesn't mean that's the end for his career here.

On salaries... the consensus online has him around 90k a week (GBPs)... that has him 35k below our top earning striker (Ings) and on par with Kudus, AWB and Soucek. Still has him behind the likes of Emerson, JWP, Areola, Kilman, Paqueta and Bowen (the later 2 by a considerable distance). He's on par with where you'd expect...

The problem is less Fullkrug than the thinking that made a guy who’s 32 today our youngest striker. Steidten, Sullivan, whoever it’s just nuts and predictably has blown up in our face. Let’s just hope we can get someone like Ferguson or Delap in the summer and Fulle can stay fit enough to be the striker who does the last 15-20 minutes and a few cup games. Reality is we probably need 2 new strikers, but don’t see that happening.

Really looking forward to having him back as I think he’s looked really good when he’s been on the pitch. Think Potter will get plenty out of him.

The terms of the deal were clearly not great but that doesn’t mean he’s a terrible player. The injuries have just compounded the other issues.

Excited to see him play with our other attacking players once Potter has settled in and think he may surprise a few in terms of his contribution.

He’s way off being in our worst signings category, he’s scored a couple of goals for starters!
