I certainly hope it is better than the last series. such a good lead and deservedly taking over from Nicola Walker, but the premise was completely shyte.

I love this dark comedy drama. Daisy May Cooper is an outstanding writer.

Funnily enough I said the exact same thing last night -

She either chooses her scripts well or helps elevate whatever show she's in .

Earliest stuff I remember her from ....

Spooks - Scott and Bailey [ she was good in that ] - River [ with Stellan Skarsgard ] - Last Tango In Halifax - Unforgotten - Annika .

Ok , there's a few Detective Series there but she's brilliant in whatever she appears in .

Finished my re-watch of Battlestar Galactica (2003.) Wonderful show that I don't think would be made now, it would have probably gone the same way as the Expanse and got cut. Fantastic, thoughtful with a number of very relevant warnings as we enter the age if on AI, increased automation and surely the next stage of robotics.

Severance

Three episodes in and it’s fair to say I’m now fully invested. First episode was a bit slow but then right at the end it turned it on its head and that was me in for the duration. Incredibly inventive and original.

As for Nicola Walker’s CV, yes she rarely makes a poor choice and The Split was great, especially the Barcelona two parter shown over Christmas.
Nicola Walker is not what I would call a classic beauty, but I do find her incredibly attractive.

Hair. I hate musicals post the golden age of musicals early to mid 20th century. I love Hair though. Hadn't seen it in probably 40 years. It's really, really good. Glad I checked it out again after all these years. It holds up.

Starting to think I could do without television - apart from football.

I watch so little of it these days, and everything I watch - usually because "she who must be obeyed" has it on - feels like I've watched the same thing a thousand times before.

Get the remote off her and put her straight on a few things. :winker:

Watched the new Nosferatu film. In all honesty I found it a bit tedious. Count Orlok really needs to lose that moustache though.

The Bikeriders on Sky movies

Was tempted to see this at the flicks when it was released, glad I never bothered. It’s not an awful film, just a bit underwhelming. Tom Hardy mumbles his dialogue as per and the direction that the story will go is clearly signposted throughout.

Also caught up with Death in Paradise and it’s fair to say Don Gillet is growing on me. Ralph Little is still my favourite across the seasons but Gillet has hit the ground running.

Ay my age there's nothing I like more than watching something I've seen a thousand times before. Every time it's like a whole new programme.

Though you know you're old when you enjoy watching "Father Brown" episodes for the third time.

Squid Games s1, E1. A few years late, but my daughter’s been asking me to watch the series with her, so here I am. Have no opinion after 1 episode. Entertaining enough.

Good luck, I bailed after 3 or 4 episodes, too cruel for me.
