Dear Mr. Denzil,
In regard to your recent correspondence, it is considered good etiquette to structure the letter in such a manner.
Yours sincerely,
Whitters

Are there many other countries like the UK where so many places share the same name?

I believe there's a town called Springfield in every single US state.
I'm thinking about this now and surely it's a myth, can't be one in Hawaii surely?

Is having a Harrods bag a bit like showing off your Gary Glitter record collection these days?

Re: Things you've always wanted to know......
Great question - at first I thought it might be something to do with the various nationalities which emigrated to America .
The French put the noun or the name of the river first as in Senne Fluviale [ River Seine ] so I thought the other Romance languages would follow the same pattern [ Italian , Romanian , Portuguese , Spanish ] but no , they don't - all have their individual words for ' river ' before the name of the river . The Germanic languages are the same .
So just the French and the Americans as far as I can make out .
Oh , and the Australians .

All my life, nobody has really been able to explain record players. How can Bjork, Beethoven and Bitch Magnet all be in this?

And don't get me started on cassettes.

I have a dabba masala with seven bowls. Four of them have cumin seeds, coriander, chilli and turmeric. What should I put in the others?

I find that garam masala tends to have too much cinnamon for my tastes and yes, it probably does defeat the object
