Thought I'd make a thread where I'll keep it updated with all the free games that get added monthly on the PS subscriptions. We can also discuss the games that can de downloaded.

So I'll start off with Januarys essential free games:

They will be available to add to your liabary and keep for free from the 7th of Jan.

I'll post the PlayStation Plus Premium games when they're announced.

I have the platinum trophy for God of War Ragnarok and it’s very much more of the same from the 2018 predecessor. Terrific game.
Why fix when it’s not broke?

I think at the very least start with God of War 2018, as Ragnarok is it’s follow up and a few things will need to be understood or at least appreciated before hand.
It’s also a terrific game, and not playing it is a disservice!
It should be pretty cheap, or I think it may be on PS Plus too.

I have PlayStation Plus Extra but it’s purely due to online access and the occasional decent title that drops on there.
I don’t think PS+ or Game Pass offer enough to be entirely dependent upon.

Finally got a PS5 today. The only think I really play on the PS4 is efootball so will have to see what's out there.

Spiderman 2 is a must for me. Not sure about God of War Ragnarok, always found the originals slightly overrated.

I highly recommend God of War before you play Ragnarok. It should be cheaper due to being older, and its a very different style of game than the original God of Wars I think you're referring too.

Spiderman and Spiderman: Miles Morales too before playing Spiderman 2.

Also a shout-out to The Last Of Us series if you've not played them.

Those three are probably the golden age of this PlayStation era.

Cheers. I've played Spiderman on the PS4 and can download the PS5 version so quite fancy playing that again, also picked up a cheap copy of Miles Morales to play so plenty to do before picking up Spiderman 2.

Played The Last of us, enjoyed the story but not the gameplay to be honest so in two minds about the sequel.

God of War is usually on a PSN deal so may give that a try as well.

I’m keen to play the TMNT collection with my kids.
I hear this recent Dragon Age was a monumental fail in regard to its quality compared to previous titles.
BioWare have one last chance to save themselves AKA Mass Effect 5.
If they f*** that up then EA will have no choice but to close its doors.
Andromeda was borderline as it was, but fingers properly crossed .
