private messages staying in out box

hi can anyone private messages i am sending seem to be sitting in the outbox and iam not sure why or if they are going can anyone help

Hi, they stay in your outbox until the person you send them to, reads them.

If you have messages you have sent ages ago still sitting there and the content is no longer relevant, simply delete them.
