Pebble Mill at One, what a bore fest. I left school in 1982 and had a summer of being skint with nothing to do, nothing drove me into employment more than the prospect of daytime TV. My lasting memory of Pebble Mill at One was watching a young scouse poet be very unfunny, by the end of the decade he was having me in stitches as lister on Red Dwarf.
By the end of summer most of us had found work and I recall watching Monkey round my mates house on the way to drink underage in The Volunteer on a Friday night.....
