Brave effort from Draper and for two sets there was nowt between them but eventually the occasion got to him and in the last set Sinner pulled away.
Still as I said before it bodes well for the future and hopefully there’s more to come from Jack Draper.

Yeah...Gave it a great go,even bearing in mind how he was,and was missing some easy points,if he had his serve going,he could
still have won those first 2 sets, shows where he is at now..
Still a bit to get around tho...him and Sinner are same age 22/23 and he was a better player than Sinner in teens...but he(Sinner) has a cooler
head can handle the pressure,Jacks gotta get himself able to deal with that....was a real hot head even bad tempered when a kid,
think keeping that under puts extra pressure on him......maybe stamina issues as well for the longer sets and matches, always a little bit
harder on the really big guys.
Thing is he gets it and understands where he is...it'll come....just right for Wimbledon next year hopefully...

Reckon he was a bit heavy on the water intake as well, that'll make you chuck up..

Reminds me of Andy Murray who before he made his breakthrough at Flushing Meadow was often running out of gas. Hopefully he can work on his anxiety and stamina and there’s definitely Grand Slam winning potential there in the next year or so.

Yeah mate...was thinking the exact same thing....remember watching Murray at Queens one time..forget who was playing but a top seed
2 sets up playing great....wheels came right off lost 2-3....Stamina not Skill...

So that’s the Majors all done and dusted for the year and it seems like a proper ‘changing of the guards’ season. This is the first year since 2002 that one of the 'Big Four' of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic & Andy Murray, have not won a Grand Slam title.

Wonder if Djokovic will call it a day if goes another season with no titles, same age as Nadal and Murray, lost a few "easy" matches last year,
got the Olympic medal he craved...got the most Slams now.
But the bloke is such a talent, and supremely fit,he'll still be making Semis and Finals, and there's still only the two that can live with him,
Alcaraz and Maybe Sinner.
But like someone said elsewhere..."if you're good enough"...must go both ways..

You won't be seeing this scene at Wimbledon ever again.

Line judges are out.

Will all be, as it is on most of the tour now, the electronic line calling. Which in all honesty, unlike VAR, is a huge success. But a bit of tradition now gone.

Not only a Brit (Jack Draper) in the final at Doha but FOUR Brits in the men's doubles final! Cash and Glasspool v Skupski and Salisbury.

Draper beats Alcaraz Semi of Indian Wells...6-1...0-6...6-4..
Plays Rune in Final Later..

That's a great win for him...Struggles with Fitness over the 5 Setters,Funny..Reckon only 13 games first two sets mighta helped him a bit,
thought he was done for after the 0-6 second set, great comeback.

He's so close to the top table,on day can beat anyone, but somehow gotta sort his Stamina and Hip Problems out..

Crazy match.

I've never seen Alcaraz play a worse set..(the 1st)

I've rarely seen Draper play a weirder set (the 2nd)

Hats off to Jack for the third. He overcomes a lot. He has demons, nerves especially.......but overcoming these moments will (hopefully) one day lead him to a Grand Slam Final.

Top 10 now. :newthumb: ....and the Final today.

Shout out to Olivia Nicholls too for reaching the Indian Wells doubles final with her Slovak partner. Lost to a higher ranked pair but a big leap up the rankings for them.

Stunning win for Londoner Jack. What a week. Beat three Americans in a row then the two-time defending champion before winning the final without facing a break point! Up to no,7 in the world. :muscle:
