Humphreys joined Burnley on loan with obligation to buy, so more likely to be Esteve and Trafford that we were scouting

For a start, he was born in Cockermouth, which will lead to a great number of innuendos on here, so if he signed we'd be in for a good time.
Secondly, he works on his family farm during the off-season (or, at least, used to) so he and Jarrod could talk shop.
Thirdly, he's young and would (if a success and stayed) fill the goalkeeping role for a good decade if we did sign him.
I think he'd be fairly pricey, which might well be a bit of an impediment for us, and I can't see us seeing the worth in signing a starting goalkeeper unless we sell Areola given the wages he gets.

Macauley or at least someone from the club was supposedly watching Burnley against West Brom.
I see this Bashir Humphreys on loan at Burnley was given his first start for the Chelsea first team under our Head Coach away at Man City in the FA Cup.
Can play across the backline. He’s been playing at left back a lot for Burnley, so maybe he’s eyed as an Emerson replacement or even Cresswell’s long term replacement at LCH?
We know Potter has a thing for Chelsea youngsters, following on from the Lamptey, Colwill and Gilmour deals at Brighton.
Just 2 years left on his Chelsea contract at the conclusion of this season.
Take a wild guess at what agency he’s with too to cheer our chairman up!?
Yeah it’s Esteve that seems to be getting a lot of the plaudits there. Having played and thrived in Champo you’d like to think he’s less likely to be lacking in the “stones” dept as our other centre halves often get accused of.
Reliable info, that we've checked on Borussia Mönchengladbach's Rocco Reitz recently. Hard working central midfielder. 22-years-old. Kimmich type of player. Really good between box boxes, but a ton of clubs interested.

Sounds like just the kind of midfield player we need?

Big fan of Reitz. Would love that signing. Wanted him last summer, thought we'd done even better with Soler. Shame he hasn't settled. Reitz would be a much better fit for what Potter is trying to do. A good age as well.
I do think a bigger German club might beat us to him though, seems to be how things work in that league.
hope we are looking in Belgium to.
Some really interesting players coming trough at the moment.
Karetsas just 17 at Genk , is a real sensation. Destined for big things so maybe time for an investment now. A real number 10.
Banzuzi at Leuven is a youngster in the Pogba mould would strenghten our midfield
At Charleroi also some interesting players Zorgane central midfielder and Guiagon a left attacker
De Cuyper at Brugge also interesting profile but probably already out of reach linked with Juventus and Milan

Danke for sharing.
Didn’t look particularly any quicker than the midfielders we already have, in the YouTube clips I watched.

By pure chance I watched Karetsas make his debut when he was just 16. In that game he looked like a superstar in the making. Haven’t actually watched him this season but know he’s looked good when he has played. Top talent.
Brugge have so many talented players. I’ve been banging the drum on De Cuyper for ages. Someone is going to sign him this summer and make huge money on him. Genuinely think he has all the tools to be one of the best in Europe.
Then there’s Jashari (cm) Seys (RB) Talbi (RW) top talents. Jashari is already a very good player, I think he has 1 more season at Brugge and then gets a move next year.
As you say, Belgium is a hotbed of talent. So many good young players there.

Dortmund showing interest in Banzuzi per transfermarkt
I'm not going to get too emotional about rumours at this stage, but I'd be annoyed if we miss out on Banzuzi having been close in January. From what I've read, his profile and attributes are what we need in our midfield, and he looked like we could have got him if we had pushed a bit harder.
But if Dortmund are genuinely interested, I think we can forget about him coming in the summer.
