Re: Where did you walk today?
Just Asda and back again but I took the long route to get my steps up.
I love walking. I bought some comfortable trainers to do it in as, ridiculously, the fashion ones aren’t anywhere near as good.

We took our new puppy for her first walk on the beach. She was not a great fan, but it felt nice anyway

Re: Where did you walk today?
Dropped the van off yesterday for an MOT,and for some unknown reason, turned down a lift and decided to walk the three quarters of a mile home.
Made it in just over an hour and a half
....probably won't be telling my Heart Health nurse....... nevertheless, despite the two hours enforced kip, I was unbearably smug.
Then in the evening ,all the disabled spaces outside Aggborough were gone, so another 500yd trek , Ted,trained in just for the game, practically carried me
Yet today? .....still alive!.
Jim called it, walking's cool.

Re: Where did you walk today?
Have done a few nice walks over the past few weeks;-
- Watership Down - along the ridge from Kingsclere
- Barton-on-Sea to Hurst Castle and back
- Cressbrook in the Derbyshire Dales to Bakewell and back.
All very enjoyable walks, not too hilly (although Watership Down is a long gradual climb) and it was lovely weather down on the coast. Also, the Derbyshire Dales are underrated - spectacular scenery but not as busy as other parts of the Peak District.

Just doing a shortened version of yesterday's walk. Burton Joyce to Woodborough circuit. I'll spare you the tedious photos of soil. Tomorrow's planned walk in Snowdonia will be much more worthy of photos.

It’s only about 10 miles away from us and is always the ‘go to’ walk to clear out the cobwebs as it can get quite bracing up there.snooperpooper wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 3:34 pm Did this one a couple of years back pablo, very pleasant

Loved it up there. We tried to walk around the Highclere Estate as well but kept coming across no go areas.pablo jaye wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 6:21 pm It’s only about 10 miles away from us and is always the ‘go to’ walk to clear out the cobwebs as it can get quite bracing up there.

Re: Where did you walk today?
There’s only a couple of rights of way that go through the main part of the estate - and there’s a pub at either end!! Another place near there is Inkpen Beacon - a short, steep (but safe underfoot) hill up there and glorious views of Highclere Castle and the surrounding area.snooperpooper wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:28 am Loved it up there. The Hampshire Rights of Way map is pretty helpful.

St. Peter on the Wall, Bradwell-on Sea to Burnham on Crouch. A 15 mile coast walk in the sunshine and a couple of beers when we reached our destination.
Happy days.

Is that the chapel in the middle of nowhere? I pine for the bleakness of the Essex coastline now I'm middle aged.

Re: Where did you walk today?
Spent the day in Snowdonia doing the scrambles up Tryfan north ridge and Bristly Ridge. Then went on to Glyder Fawr and Y Garn before coming back down. Also about 7 and a half hours driving to get there and back. Feel a bit wrecked right now
