Games Without Frontiers, 14 year old CRS had no idea what Peter Gabriel was singing back in the day but I bloody loved it.
And yes, they cut it short for some Andrew Lloyd Webber crap

Of course talking about The Vapours on TOPT I assume you all saw the classic blooper when the drummer drops his stick

Re: The Top of the Pops Thread
That just reminded me of something. I’m certain this happened but no where on the internet seems to support me. I believe it was David Bowie on totp, or one of his hands, late 90s maybe early 00s. Just when they finished their track, the drummer flashed his hand right in front of the camera and he clearly had **** written on his knuckles. Camera cut away almost instantaneously so it literally was just a flash shot, but I swear it happened.
Anyone else remember this?

Re: The Top of the Pops Thread
Dan - I've spoke to my mate who is a Bowieophile and by a process of elimination - he listed all the Bowie brummers ever in year order - he feel it was probably Hunt Sales, the Tim machine drummer. Tin Machine had the kinda "edge" about then and this would fit in with their schtick.dasnutnock3 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 9:02 pm That just reminded me of something. Re: The Top of the Pops Thread
My initial thoughts were Tin Machine, but couldn't find anything during my initial google scan. Will try to zero in on this guy, though, really appreciate the tipWHU Independent wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 6:26 pm Dan - I've spoke to my mate who is a Bowieophile and by a process of elimination - he listed all the Bowie brummers ever in year order - he feel it was probably Hunt Sales, the Tim machine drummer. Re: The Top of the Pops Thread
In 40 years of TOTP I've never seen a crowd jump up and down before like they did for the Phonics.
Normally people just swayed side to side and looked round to see the camera (or in case Jimmy Saville was sneaking up on them)
