Motorhead at least 96 (though there may be a couple I've forgotten) are well out in front.
There are quite a few I've seen more than 30 times, Quo, Saxon, UFO, Dumpy's rusty nuts, plus a few local bands.
I've been to hundreds of gigs and generally 20 to 30 a year.

Oasis/Liam Gallagher ten or so times. Not been to many concerts, as I’ve got older my ability to cope with large crowds has diminished (same reason I’ve not been to a football match for 5+ years)

Much the same for me. Hate being stuck in crowds. It's probably the only thing in life that gets me anxious.

Re: What band/artist have you seen the most??
I’ve tried to add as many gigs I can remember to Setlist FM (and Concert Archived app in recent years) to keep track with well over 100 artists logged from over 200 gigs - but I’m sure there are some artists that I’ve missed overall but not would trouble my top ones which I think are mostly complete:
Courteeners 15 times (plus Liam Fray solo once)
Kasabian 12 times (9 with Tom as front man, 3 with Serge as the front man. plus Tom solo once)
Mohair 11+ times (a local band I knew who got to a high point of supporting Razorlight on an arena tour in the mid 00s
The Libertines 10 times - but then Dirty Pretty Things, Babyshambles, Peter Doherty solo, Carl Barat solo, and other spin offs from John and Gary probably another 15+ times combined.
Liam Gallagher 9 times - and then 3 more with Oasis (Noel 6 times with the HFB…)
blur 9 times
Perhaps another thread, by venue? Brixton Academy and The Horn in St Albans are my top 2.

Anyone remember the Mile End Sundown? Saw some great bands there back in the day.aaronhammer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 11:06 pm

Back in the day, I went to a few scores of times - the Escape Club and the Zap Club in Brighton and the Kentish Town & Country Club being the obvious standouts.aaronhammer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 11:06 pm Perhaps another thread, by venue? Brixton Academy and The Horn in St Albans are my top 2.

Town and Country is still my favourite along with Brixton Academy. Always feels special going to both.Korea Hammer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 8:27 am Back in the day, I went to a few scores of times - the Escape Club and the Zap Club in Brighton and the Kentish Town & Country Club being the obvious standouts.

PWEI x 7
Sisters of Mercy x 3
Adam Ant x 3
Carpenter Brut x 2
I think they're the only artists I've seen more than once.

He died when I was 5 years old, I'm afraid I'm just a glory hunter.vietnammer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 2:34 pm With or without Adge Cutler? See, I ain't going to take you seriously otherwise. Are you an authentic fan? (joking!)

I know he died in 1974 (just checked) and I *think* I first saw them before that date, we saw them a few times when I was a kid, so I may be an "authentic fan"vietnammer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 2:34 pm With or without Adge Cutler? Re: What band/artist have you seen the most??
Ha. I'm pretty sure I went to the Zap or the Escape (or both) pretty much every week for two years. Also the Free Butt, the Richmond, and the Basement. Loads of good venues in Brighton around then.Korea Hammer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 8:27 am Back in the day, I went to a few scores of times - the Escape Club and the Zap Club in Brighton and the Kentish Town & Country Club being the obvious standouts.
The Hope and Ruin, Prince Albert, and Green Door Store top my list now.

Metallica, I think 16 times. After that Guns N Roses and Slayer are tied at 7 each.

Brixton Academy is my favourite too - the walk from the tube station up the high street reminds me of the old walk to the Boleyn Ground from UP station. Always special and filled with anticipation.Big George wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 12:09 pm Town and Country is still my favourite along with Brixton Academy. Always feels special going to both.
The Boiler Room, Guildford; Wedgewood Room, Pompey, Sub89, Reading; Leeds University; Duchess Of York, Leeds and Brixton are the venues that I have visited most.
