PS5 Astro's Playroom was free. Sony also drops prices on their games after a while, Nintendo rarely does...

Nintendo do drop prices, maybe not core titles but games do drop in price after a while. The Switch also did drop about £20 not long after release and the 3DS price dropped due to poor sales.

My mate reckons he’s holding out for the Switch 2 to price drop but I can’t see it this year, I think Nintendo will push it until Xmas. Personally I can’t wait that long, the switch in my house gets maximum usage.

Ironically I was going to be in Japan when the pre-orders were due to hit but Argos went early and I got one (in theory anyway) before I left. I'm not into bashing Nintendo usually, but I'm definitely not going to pay for the Welcome to Switch 2 game as that should be thrown in like Astrobot on PS5 and Aperture Desk Job on the Steam Deck. Both great titles that got you excited about the capabilities of the machine you just bought without having to spend an extra tenner. Apparently Nintendo US had to fight with Nintendo Japan to have Wii Sports included as a pack in title when that was clearly one of the greatest marketing moves ever.

BTW games shopping in Japan is freakin' awesome.
