Re: Formula1
Lando is getting himself into a right pickle in the last two weeks. He seems to perform better when he's chasing rather than be under pressure to lead.
Silly mistakes will cost him if he doesn't concentrate. Let's not forget, he's still leading the drivers Championship too.
He has the car and the talent, I just hope he doesn't f*** it up.

Re: Formula1
Max cheating as usual. Wonder if he’ll be allowed to get away with it. He’s clearly behind at the apex and should be giving that up.

Re: Formula1
They’ve enabled this cheat for too long. Shouldn’t be allowed but they’ve allowed it to happen and it’s too hard to change that now.
The rules where changed to ten seconds (because of Red Bulls moaning) so they can’t even penalise him correctly.
I love and hate this sport and I’ll be glad when he’s gone from it.
Re: Formula1
Unfortunately it will be a while before that happens, my hope is that he is tempted by the big Aston money and his career trajectory follows Vettel's. It sounds bitter and I don't like the way this 'sport' sometimes makes me think.

Re: Formula1
I’m convinced he has t got what it takes to be world champion. Always makes it difficult for himself. Rarely delivers under pressure. His teammate this season is already making him look a bit limitedwestham, eggyandchips wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 12:47 pm Lando is getting himself into a right pickle in the last two weeks. Re: Formula1
Even at the end red bull on the radio still have to cry about the penalty.
I knew they would say he finished less than 5 seconds behind yet Oscar clearly was managing and had more pace if needed.
It’s their comments like that which is why they end up disliked.

Well their boss gets away with sexual harassment, their advisor is a racist and you’ve got Jos the wife beater in the paddock what do you expect. Scum surrounded by scum, surprised they are not sponsored by Trump to be honest.

Re: Formula1
Great to see Oscar win. Decent drive from LeClerc as well. Less said about Max the better... deliberately coming off the brake in order to run wide so it looked like he had nowhere to go? Glad he got penalised for it, even if it was only 5 seconds.
Miami up next.

Re: Formula1
Yes wasnt this supposed to incur 10 seconds now? However I guess they can apply the first corner rule - but to be honest this all is becoming the norm as there are less and less gravel / grass areas which would stop drivers from chancing their luck.simon hammer wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 7:47 pm Great to see Oscar win. Verstappen had lost the corner so should have bailed out and accepted but instead knew that he could run off and hope he would get the first corner/lap forgiveness. There needs to be something done about this "cheat code" and I dont mean just for Verstappen but any other driver who uses it too.

Re: Formula1
The problem for Max and Red Bull is their deep seated arrogance. Because they used to get away with those run it late into the corner moves, they still think they should be getting away with it. It has been evident from last season (far too late even then) that the stewards have woken up and will dish out the penalty every time, but RB can't seem to accept the game has changed.
Max probably is too stubborn ever to think he is wrong, but his engineer has no balls to recognise the obvious and tell Max to give the position back. If Horner was the great team Head he thinks he is, he would make the call, but he's too arrogant as well.
So happily it cost them. If Max had handed the place over he might have won, we'll never know, but while RB continue to think it's 2023 it will keep costing them.
Pistari is looking very good.

Re: Formula1
I was thinking I long for the days of Mansell, Patrese, Prost, Senna, etc, proper racing, well, until Williams built that active car that was more like a transformer. But then I started wondering whether that was just nostalgia speaking.
I came into F1 in the late eighties, Mansell was, and probably still is, my first F1 hero but is everything rose tinted, or is everything just becoming a bit robotic these days?
