Going to Seville in a couple of weeks with our 7 month daughter, our first holiday? Any advice/tips from those that have gone?

And yes, I am going to watch Sevilla on the Monday evening...!

No, but a friend of mine's family own a few properties there. He said it was a lovely place, particularly good if you like watersports, pine forests and the odd historic ruin.

Prefer Real Betis myself (currently managed by Pellegrini) but Seville is a gorgeous city. I did Sevilla away with City in Europe a decade ago.

You might be able to see the Northern Lights in Scandinavia. We saw them in Trömso, where there is also the Arctic Cathedral which is worth seeing.

Copenhagen is great - Nyhaven, a day trip to Malmo and the Tivoli Gardens. The Little Mermaid is a bit underwhelming.

Not that I've ever been there but I believe you have to watch out for hungry Polar Bears in Svalbard, but you could have a word with Tomos and seek his advice in how to stave them off. They've got them where he lives

Thanks for the tip about the Cathedral

Hopefully Tromsø or Svalbard we may see Northern Lights
The 4 nights in those it’ll be 24 hours darkness

Whilst in Copenhagen we intend to pop to Malmo for a day plus the other sights you mentioned
Little Mermaid maybe not bother

Currently out in Side, Turkey and there's a family of Hammers here. I noticed the kids have the new home and away kits and the Dad has an old Alpari black tracksuit top on.

I wonder if they are on here?

Plus before leaving, at Stansted on Friday I saw a bunch of lads half cut in away tops outside the airport.

I may wear my TIW top tomorrow evening just to see if they spot it

Yes. Nice island but not as pretty as its neighbours, Skopelos and Alonissos.

Skopelos particularly is beautiful, and a short ferry from Skiathos.

Just back from Thailand. Great place.

35C plus every day. 25C every night. Constantly sweaty as f***.

Loads of great Thai food. Lots of beer.

A worrying about of Americanisation there though. KFC were omnipresent.

Also, it's funny going to a country that's a similar size and population to the UK and seeing first hand the extraordinary amount of single use plastic they go through. It felt as though everything we do is pointless.

Lovely friendly people, pretty much all of them. Although none of them can drive properly.

I had two weeks in Side three years back, lovely place and the hotel was great but full of Russians. No bother with any of them as they seemed respectful, family oriented people just not friendly.

Had two weeks in Marmaris the year after and it was a lot more chavvy, wouldn’t go there again.

In Side I’d recommend the day trip excursion on the jeep that takes you up into the mountains - beautiful scenery. A massive forest of eucalyptus trees.

On my way back home from 3 weeks in Japan. An absolutely wonderful place - the people were extremely friendly and helpful as well as some very impressive sights and experiences. The cherry blossom, the Tokyo Tower, Hiroshima, waking up to see a very clear Mount Fuji from my bed, the Shinkansen (bullet train), the light show on the Tokyo government buildings, mountains around Nikko and winning about £35 on the bizarre Japanese game of Pachinko!

Food was wonderful - Omoniyaki in a backstreet restaurant in Hiroshima was the highlight although gave pork rectum, intestines and womb a wide swerve.

Now waiting for 10 hours at Beijing airport for our connecting flight. Not quite enough time to get out and see the city.
