Brothers deny assaulting police at airport
Two brothers have denied assaulting police officers in a disturbance at Manchester Airport.

Footage of a fracas at the airport's Terminal 2 building on 23 July last year was widely shared online.

Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammad Amaad, 25, from Rochdale, pleaded not guilty when they appeared at Liverpool Crown Court earlier.

A trial, expected to last three weeks, has been scheduled at the same court on 30 June.

The court heard Mr Amaaz is alleged to have assaulted PC Zachary Marsden and PC Lydia Ward at the terminal's car park paystation, causing them actual bodily harm.

He is also accused of the assault of PC Ellie Cook in the same incident and assaulting a member of the public earlier at a nearby Starbucks cafe.

Mr Amaad is alleged to have assaulted PC Marsden, causing actual bodily harm.

Both men, of Tarnside Close, had their unconditional bail extended after they entered not guilty pleas.
So it was someone else laying into the police officers?

Going to big up colleagues in Kent.

https://www.kent.police.uk/news/kent/la ... -officers/ - Allow youtube content if you click on the link.

This is what happens every day, up and down the Country - the problem is as Constabularies we're useless at highlighting what we do, and the public only care when they see something they hate.

Well done to the two Officers who ran towards the unknown danger - another rubbish sentence at Court though.

It probably needs a video release to social media to engage the general public.

The one who complied got a longer sentence than the one that kicked off because he was already under a suspended sentence, not sure what message that sends out.
Be interesting to see their previous......

The message that you shouldn't commit armed robbery whilst on a suspended sentence?

To be fair, the one that complied probably made a very sensible decision. The one who kicked off is probably wishing that he had followed his mates advice and he would been out in 6 - 12 months. Instead he kicked off and now he's dealing with the consequences.

The advice here is a) don't commit crime (especially if you've already got previous) b) when you're caught, give yourself up, sharpish.

Hats off to the lads involved as well. Brave men than I!

Well colour me shocked...
Essex Police "acted reasonably" during an investigation into journalist Allison Pearson over a social media post by the Daily Telegraph columnist, a report states.

The National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) looked into the force's actions after Pearson claimed she felt "bullied and threatened" when officers visited her home in Essex on Remembrance Sunday in November.

The Essex force has previously defended its since-dropped investigation over an allegation that a social media post incited racial hatred.

In his findings, Mark Hobrough, the Chief Constable of Gwent and the NPCC's hate crime lead, said footage from a body-worn camera showed the investigating officer's approach to Pearson was "polite and carried out in an exemplary manner".

If you're not feeling bullied or intimidated during an altercation with Essex police, then you've probably just wandered into a hen party in Billericay.

"We do not take the view that a crime did not take place," the report states, "rather that there was no realistic prospect of conviction based on the evidence available."
Petulant much? :crylol:

Perhaps a new level of criminality is required, something that sits between crime and non crime hate incidents, how about Crime Unless No Tangible New Evidence is Supporting a Summons, or CUNTNESS for short.....

Pearson epitomises a certain type of 21st century ‘victim’.

A powerful, member of the establishment, playing the poor-little-me card. A weird mixture of narcism, egotism, self-publicity and paranoia. If she was a Liverpool fan people would be slating her 🙂 Then of course, she could play the victim once again. Which she’d like.

I see the guy who climbed the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) yesterday got arrested after the got him down. Not to say I agree or disagree with that - I’m just intrigued to what law he’s broken?

I also saw a clip that he uploaded to Instagram where the negotiator said they were moving closer (which he said if they do he’d climb higher), she then told him “I need to move closer to hear you because I’m partially deaf” - he replied “well they’ve sent the wrong person to negotiate if you’re partially deaf” :crylol:

Hopefully he’ll get a nice big bill to pay for all the disruption and attendance of emergency services. Why should my taxes pay for it?

I have no problem with people protesting but if he’d just been ignored and then something happened to him people would be whining about that.

The agent of a terrorist state climbs the tower of our seat of government and unfurls the flag of a foreign nation?

Sounds like treason to me.

Can imagine many police officers handing in their guns. I would.

"Chris Kaba's family said they welcomed the news of the hearing and they hoped it would lead to Sgt Blake being removed from the Met.

"We are still so devastated to have lost Chris - this should never have happened," the family said."

And if he wasn't running around London shooting people in gang wars it wouldn't have.
