A bit late to it, but Red Dead Redemption 2. Some game. Been playing for about two days (game time) and only on chapter 4.

Apple Games, anyone use it? I got the new iPhone last week and get 3 months free Apple Arcade/Games. I've downloaded a couple (Risk, Golf and Clash of Clans) and deleted the app after a few hours as they're clunky and just take forever doing anything. I just want something that's easy to pick up and play for 15 mins if I am bored. Don't mind what kind of game it is, just want it to be mildly fun. I've had a scan through and it just looks like a load of crap on there.

It is, quite simply, the greatest video game ever produced.

Enjoy BVM, but slow down a bit if you've managed to reach Chapter 4 after two days - there's so much more to see and do.

Without spoilers, a good place to stop the story is in Chapter 2. Before you break someone out of jail (should be spoiler free enough), that's a generally agreed good place to leave the story and do all the side stuff.

Oh right you done that bit. Don't start again though, you're fine. Just stop the story for now.

The reason why that is a good place to stop is because everything is pretty much unlocked by then.

Also, in Valentine, go to the pharmacy place I think it was, and listen out for some noises from the basement. Pick yourself up a lovely pistol for free.

I've never played any of the Red Deads and know nothing about them (except the setting), should I? Are they a real time sink as I get limited playtime

Finished Diablo 3 season 36 journey. Started Diablo 4 season ten… which I’ll play until I’ve completed all the seasonal chapters and claimed all the available items.. be a couple of weeks casual play.

They are basically a GTA: Cowboys. But with a more immersive world and story.

RDR2 is a prequel of RDR1, but you can start with either, you just miss out on a tiny but of nostalgia and inside character info from starting with 2. Red Dead Revolver I believe has nothing to do with the story here(not played it).

I've spent about 300 hours on RDR2 over 2 playthroughs, but the majority of that was exploration and side stuff that isn't relevant at all to the story.

To me, it is the greatest game ever made, and since playing it has essentially ruined a lot of other good games for me due to naturally comparing the two.

Thanks Chelmsford, I'll pick up a physical copy of both and get started on them after a play through Final Fantasy 6 for the first time.

As it sounds like it's going to be a really big commitment, I'll let you know how I get on in a decade or two :newthumb:

"Just when I thought I was out, you draw me back in!" - you know whao you are :)

Level 80 with a home build Void Knight in The Last Epoch season 3. So far it's going great - up to level 80 Monuments and pissing it. Also got a few aces up my sleeve this year, so I hope I'll be able to do the level 100 stuff more easily this time.

I’m about 3 hours into Ghost of Yotei and it’s a contender for one of the most beautiful looking games this generation.
If you’re a Ghost of Tsushima fan, then you’re in for a treat too, because while it’s early days I feel the changes I’ve seen so far are improvements.
Stunning piece of software.

That new Alien game, which I believe is a conversion of a VR game from a year or two back. Nothing amazing, but not unenjoyable - perhaps lacks the atmosphere of Alien Isolation, but also lacks all that "find stuff and craft other things with it", which I find profoundly tedious.

Final Fantasy 6 Pixel Remaster - Despite its age and the limitations of the console it was released on, it's pretty good so far despite some gripes with the number of random encounters you get, especially when you are lost

It's still the best Final Fantasy game I've played, the characters, the story, the scope, for a 16-bit game - it's something of a miracle.

I've had a couple of free periods of Apple Arcade and ended up playing mainly Pacman Party Royale, Galaga Wars and Angry Birds Reloaded for a bit before getting bored (but that's the point of mobile games isn't it, play it for a bit then get bored).

‘Completed’ Diablo IV season 10. Honestly if you like ARPGs that are not too heavy then D4 is in a good state right now. Lots of fun, not super complex and I believe is on sale across platforms.

Slight Spoilers:
20 hours in, and I still haven't gone after one of the Yotei Six (barring the Snake prologue).
The combat is far deeper and a whole lot tougher than Tsushima, not Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice tougher but some of the bounties I've done have been a decent challenge and required some solid strategy - you are not beating any of these bastards by praying and mashing.
Excellent sequel.

Resident Evil 7. The first person view put me off as I'm not keen on it but it's pretty good.

Road to the Masters. First golf game I've bought for about 10 years and quite enjoying it...apart from constantly over shooting on chip shots or missing the cup by about half inch constantly.

Same but it really does hit you with that survival horror feel that the previous games were lacking.
It’s biggest downer is probably how short it is; around 8-10 hours I reckon?
