I'm not sure, I think he's a solid young keeper, plenty of time for him

Not sure how a weak midfield stops you coming for crosses!

Kudus was great. Alvarez was *****, Emerson ok. Aguerd not a premier league player. We need to replace Antonio and Kudus but not sorry to see those other players leave. Diouf, Magassa, Fernandes are good signings as is KWP.

Not really an option when Kudus had Spurs in his heart, Alvarez had fallen out with every coach he'd played under at the club and wanted out of English football. As did Aguerd. Emerson looks done in a much weaker league.

Re: The West Ham Summer 2025 transfer thread
We needed to begin the rebuild properly. We got the post-Rice rebuild wrong so we needed to go again and replace the post-Ricers.
Potter I thought was an abysmal coach for us but I will give him (and/or Macaulay) credit for at least making attempts at the right profile. Hermansen to my eye looks a disaster but the likes of Diouf and Fernandes are spot on I think.
As always, even acknowledging that I think Potter is a poor coach, you also have to say that there is no real chance of any manager working out here long term with the lack of thought from the very top, short of us having incredible good fortune of maybe the best central midfielder in the world popping out of the Academy to assist.

I'll judge Mads when I see him in a settled team . For me the mistake was throwing he straight inAztec Hammer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 11:12 am We needed to begin the rebuild properly. We got the post-Rice rebuild wrong so we needed to go again and replace the post-Ricers.

That said all the other summer signings were spot on
Fernandes brilliant
Magassa young and hungry
Wilson experience
Duioff raw talent
Kwp dependable
Igor solid

Feels like we sorted out the edges of the team.mumbles87 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 11:25 am I'll judge Mads when I see him in a settled team . For me the mistake was throwing he straight in

But the spine needed sorting and wasn't.
Its what we didn't do is the problem

Having him in has literally improved the team across the pitch, even the defence looks better
All we need now is a striker and a CB then the team transforms
Re: The West Ham Summer 2025 transfer thread
Expect a move for Pablo Felipe (21) at Gil Vicente.
8 in 11 for the Primeira Liga club - Gestifute (Mendes) client
Another young CF and Gestifute client (Rodrigo Ribeiro) was loaned to Notts Forest last term
...but Pablo is proving to be far more prolific

Re: The West Ham Summer 2025 transfer thread
We wouldn't be bottom 3 if our transfer window was a success.
Signing Igor and not Cress well and doing bare minimum for striker who cant play 90 mins or two games a week is big part of why we are in this position

But not replacing Kudus or Antonio was beyond criminal
