Same. I was going to post the news yesterday, but didn't because of learning about his crimes.

And I've only just learned it, having read it off of you gentlemen!
Won't change me thinking some of his tunes were bangers and it physically can't change the fact that he was a hero of mine in the mid-eighties when I was all about the burgeoning electro/hip-hop scene; but I'm dismayed at what I've read this evening.

I'll raise you a Gary Glitter or Lost Prophets LC. Both had great tunes back in the day, but I can't bring myself to listen to them anymore.last.caress wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2026 10:25 pm And I've only just learned it, having read it off of you gentlemen!![]()

Re: Today's celebrity death is...
The theme from Harry's Game was chilling, Moya had an extraordinary voice and Clannad a very evocative sound. The TOTP's they did was a weird watch.woodgreenspur wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2026 12:19 pm Moya Brennan lead singer of Clannad

Angel and the Soldier Boy is the one for me.
Gets in my soul how much nostalgia that soundtrack provides.

I remember saying to my other half 'what's wrong with his hair?' as he had a strange bald spot behind the ear which presumably was linked to the skin cancer, poor sod.OFT wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2026 5:42 pm Perhaps not well known outside those of us daytime TV watchers, actor Finnian Garbutt of BBC series Hope Street.
