Just goes to show that what my nan always told me was right. If you want to be really, really, really cool you'd better play a guitar the size of a battleship while wearing a bathrobe.

Guns'n; Roses Use your Illusion 1+2 Super Edition (newly released)
Good review of the album and how it has stood up over the years. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/musi ... 34629081/
31 years old and UYI2 was one of the first albums I bought with my own money (parents got I) . Still sounds fantastic today, not listened to it for a while, should do more often.

Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now
This band should probably be huge in the mainstream but unfortunately have been foolishly cast aside as metal

Weyes Blood - And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow
very different to what I expected..not sure what genre ..not quite country, not quite crooner..The celestial-influenced folk album............ not sure that's right either...
early Sunday morning breakfast, coffee etc. music..
Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now
New Weyes Blood album? Excellent. She's quite a talent.
Romance & Dean Hurley - In Every Dream Home A Heartache. Will it be my album of the year? Potentially.

Like a lot of G N R, small doses works best as Axl's angle grinder voice grates extremely quickly.
That final Slash solo though in November Rain

Both those albums are pretty bloated but there's some excellent stuff on there.wolf359 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 7:50 am
