Haven't listened to these for a few years. The first is the B side to 'The Flowers of Romance' and the second is the B side to 'Memories' - the instrumental version of this song is called Graveyard and was on the 'Metal Box' album.

Antidawn is a step away from the more upbeat Burial who emerged after Untrue. I like how the different tracks a linked together. Both sides of the EP captures a dark feeling, without the deep tones and rhythms of his previous work. I'd rather he goes this direction than more upbeat.

The Basinski & Schaefer LP is lovely! I just can't remember if I've already bought it or nor

10 songs in 14 minutes. Sounds like Kleenex or Delta 5 or something. Best album of 2021, and I missed it.

Yeah I'm a fan of this EP (and a long one at that). Like you i prefer his darker efforts, so the first 3 tracks are more my cup of tea, as opposed to his "happier" tunes, "salvation Burial" as you could call them.

There are moments when i'm just crying out for the rhythms he used to produce, but i guess he's moved on both artistically and persoanlly, i can't see him producing tunes in a Kennington high-rise (my theory), inbetween playing Metal Gear Solid religiously. I still rank Kindred as his finest work of all, which channels a little bit of happiness amongst the sadness, with some brilliant rhythm.

Speaking of sadness, the news of Julee Cruise passing away. Floating Into The Night is such a gem of an album. Hopefully she finds peace in the forests of Twin Peaks...
