Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now
I keep trying with this record, and some of the sounds are nice, but I have to say, I'm finding it pretty boring.

Silly, bizarre, deep, funny and musically accomplished. Define?

A song I've loved for more than 35 years....just makes me want to grin and do a daft Elvis impersonation singing it

Haven't heard this before; If you haven't OFT (perhaps Tenners), I suggest you do!

Just listened to a U2 song on the radio and didn't hate it.

Strangely, having liked and seen Roxy Music('72/'73?) and loved and seen King Crimson('70/71'?) I missed the chance to see Fripp and Eno by going to a music club we frequented back in the day to see, for some reason I still can't fathom, Black Oak Arkansas with Fripp and Eno playing at a proper 'theatre' about 500 yards away . Being a club, bands tended to get on quite late but Black Oak failed to show and were eventually replaced by a band called Sassafras, who had also turned up at an earlier gig in another town when Gentle Giant failed to show and weren't our C of T probably because I associated them with disappointment . Anyroads, by the time they got on stage Fripp and Eno had finished 'up the road' and were now sat in said nightclub, possibly, as disappointed as we were.
That's how I remember it but it was a long time ago :arry:
Edit
Have now listened to some of the studio recordings and I'm warming to it all quickly

No proph. I haven't heard it before and found it on first listen a little 'heavy going' if I'm honest.May get the CD(I know..I'm old) and give it another go 'cos it ought to be right up my street.prophet:marginal wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 10:16 pm https://i.discogs.com/PwQTM2gvU6s6Dn-u- ... pwZWc.jpeg
