This. One of my mates is a physics need and would insist on explaining some of the "jokes". Improved it no end...

There are also versions on YouTube where people have edited out the canned laughter. Then you really appreciate just how bad it is.

Dune

for the 2nd time. there's a HUGE story in there if you want to follow it. having read the book maybe 3 or 4 times, there's still bits in it to be "discovered."

of course this is only part I and if you haven't read the books there's a HUGE void in information as to who's who, and in particular what's what.

but as we don't know if he's going to go over what's "missing" from the story in part II, it would be a spoiler to disclose the bits where people who haven't read the books must be scratching their heads and wondering "WHY ?"

brilliant cinematography and I'm only watching on the telly. would love to go the big screen version.

worth another go for sure, and definitely worth a first watch if you haven't.

don't expect it to be full of shoot 'em up, blow 'em up all the way through. it probably if truth be told 3 or 4 parts to cover the depth of the entire story. not sure the Hollywood public would go for that though.

glad it did well enough at the Box Office to get the 2nd one onto the screens.

political, theological, and whateverelseical in the story.

:crylol:

no, mate the latest one..

first one was a one shot deal, I think David Lynch maybe ?

this one is broken over two huge parts I think it was maybe 2 and a half hours but it never really seemed that long.......

if you haven't seen it I do recommend it if you like a story which this has in abundance. well there's about 4 stories going on at once .......

Love that film. Twas a real family favourite in the CRS household back in the day. Love Peter O’Toole’s character Anton Ego’s line at the end, “Surprise Me!” One of my favourite Disney movies.

First two episodes of the Boys, it is crazy and some of the stuff has probably never been on TV before but I found it rather boring if truth be told. Will carry on though tonight.

Our Falklands war - a frontline story.

A superb piece of TV, 10 former soldiers telling their story of the falklands war. Brutal, ugly, horrific but utterly compelling.

Probably on the Iplayer, worth a look.

BBC's new 6 parter. Sherwood

Part real part fiction based around the splits that still exist years after the miners strike of the 80's.

Superb cast and a very good opening episode

Same here OFT. As opening episodes go, that was as good as it gets. Lots of different characters, all going about their own thing but connected to each other’s life’s in different ways. You could feel the tension and you knew it was brewing up to something and then bang, it delivered.
On again tonight 👍

Episode 3 and 4 of Season 3 fo the Boys... it is obviously me but I am not enjoying this... will leave it until they have all aired and maybe come back to it.

Flight Attendant Episode 1 - Didn't grab me to be honest but was enough there for me to watch episode 2

Not really getting into TV at the moment it seems.

Yep. It's only showing the one episode as being available as opposed to the whole series. It'll be available when its all done rather than 'in advance' as some series are.
