Suspect starring James Nesbitt. I recorded it a while ago and then read a couple of negative reviews so put off watching it but with 2 episodes left I've enjoyed it.

The Staircase

Sky Atlantic. Starring Colin Firth and Toni Collette.

Firth plays author Michael Peterson accused of killing his wife (Collette)

It's a true story. We watched the documentary on Netflix about this during lockdown. Absolutely nuts.

Really enjoying the drama. :newthumb:

Just watched 2 films that I enjoyed.

First up was GO BACK TO CHINA, a comedy drama about a spoilt Chinese American girl whose dad cuts her money off & forces her to go back to China to work in his toy factory.

It's better than it sounds.

Then a drama, comedy road trip about a single dad who finds out he has a tumour, is given a year to live so he sets off with his 15 year old daughter to see her estranged mum before he dies. That was called DON'T MAKE ME GO.

Also better than it sounds.

Both on Amazon.

Endeavour

Series One, Episode 3, Rocket

Stumbled across this particular episode the other day on ITV3 and I was immediately drawn in despite having seen it before. Princess Margaret visits a munitions factory and yes, of course there’s murder afoot as one of the workers body is discovered on the day of the Royal visit. There’s a bolshy shop steward played by Craig “The Caddy” Parkinson and suggestions of industrial espionage and family cover ups of previous misdeamouners. Can Morse and Thursday find the culprit ? Of course they can.

I’ve commented on here before about Endeavour , but it is just so good and I could happily plug into any episode like a warm comfy blanket of TV heaven.

BOSCH - Legacy

thanks yet again to whoever recommended this series.

binged the entire Bosch series (seven in total) and now am just finishing up this one.

really decent cast imvho. two top stars from the Wire make the first series very watchable.

lead role is pretty good as a bit over zealous LA Cop but nothing too bad. pretty decent plot lines even though it seems that a couple are left "up in the air" as in unfinished or at least to what the viewer would want.

this is apparently Amazon's "other" viewing network, (never heard of it) Freevee ?

series 2 of Legacy was announced even before series 1 was aired, and I don't know how they determine who watches what on a paid t.v. channel but I guess they do.

anyway, can recommend the entire series and yet again thank you for whoever put it up here.

Halfway through the new Predator film Prey.

Really good so far...finally a Predator film that doesn't star either Arnie or Danny Glover which isn't complete dreck.

Watched it all now. Yep, pretty good. Nice direction, excellent heroine and easily the best Predator film since the original sequel.

Wouldn't have been disappointed if I'd seen that on the big screen.

Finished Season 2 and started season 3 of 'For all mankind' and AppleTV+. Drifts a little bit during season 2 but is very well made and (I found it) a worthwhile watch (if a little be far-fetched at times). Interesting to see how they maintain this in Season 3 (which I think finishes this week)

cheers mate, going to give that a go

a few or so weeks back, they started banging out ads on the telly about it. so I thought I would investigate and at that time it was just trailers and then on release saw several very positive reviews.

a very different concept I thought, going back to bows and arrows instead of some pretty heavy hardware.

Prey on Disney+ - it’s been widely praised and was good, but as others have said on here, it is no where as good as some have made out (imvho).

(I’ll go to hell for this) but I can’t help think it’s so well looked upon because of the Native American cast and the gender of the main hero. Give me arnie any day.

posted similar in the Netflix thread.

good but left me underwhelmed at the finish.

a decent couple of hours, didn't at any time want to turn it off, but wouldn't bother to watch it again..

whereas the original, I'm not sure how many times I've seen that one.

any time it's on regular tv and I'm here......
