Watched that Mo Farah thing... what a strange old life he has had. Amazed he didn't go off the rails.

I don't think the programme told anything like the whole story, but it must all be a weight off of his mind

ps - Sherwood - I'm in the enjoyed it camp, and thought it was well cast/acted

Talking Movies Godfather 50th Anniversary Special

On BBC iPlayer and if you’re a fan of the classic 1972 movie, this will be right up your street. Hard to believe, but Laurence Olivier was seriously considered for the role of Vito Corleone. Thankfully, Coppola got his own way and the rest as they say, is history. Robert Duvall features quite a lot and at 91 he is lookin in fine fettle.

There’s a new mini series on the recently launched Paramount + streaming channel called The Offer which is all about the making of one of the greatest movies ever. I will definitely be giving it a look.

Watched Breeders on Sky. Somehow missed it first time around. Really enjoyed it, but felt a bit lile holding a mirror up at times!

Watched thing I recorded on Pick called Banshee from 2013 about an ex-con who takes on the role of a dead cop who was on route to a new job as a small town sheriff. Quite good so far (The lead actor played the bad guy in The Boys)

Finished Stranger Things, The Boys and ST Strange New Worlds.

Stranger Things is good but does an episode really need to be 2.5 hours long?

The Boys, struggled with at times, again another show that seem padded out, could have done the season in half the episodes.

ST SNW - A mix of really good episodes and a few duff ones, but promising Star Trek in 2022 is not to be sniffed at.

Started 'For All Man Kind on AppleTV+ Episode 1 is slow but I'm told it is good so going to stick with it and try and do the first couple of seasons before my ATV+ free subscription ends.

As did I but I reckon they could have made the episode in 90 minutes without losing anything at all. Just seemed to unnecessarily long and stretched in general. The whole season could have had half the run time and been as good.

Better Call Saul just caught up to the latest episode. I really enjoy the show and we're now on the 6th season.

Gangs of London.... I'm just not feeling it, not sure why the main character has such a wanky accent. I hear it's good and I should stick it out, so I'll try.

I need to get back into watching Foundation the Asimov book adaption.

Very very predictable. My 7 year old son liked it though. I might stick some old Mr Bean episodes on, see if he likes them too.

funnily enough a couple of months back my laptop went down.

as I use it for EVERYTHING I couldn't access tv or anything to watch. of course it happened over the weekend. AND I hadn't figured out how to work the smart tv. (rental property and I wasn't familiar with Smart tvs in general).

the only thing I could get to was some tv channels that are on there.

Mr. Bean Channel was one of them. I was in stitches.

and as an aside, when I was coaching a high school team, one of the girls told me (forgot how it came up) that they were studying Mr. Bean in one of their classes.

Non-Verbal Communication.

all the class loved it.

The Terminal List

not too bad, loads of shoot'em up, blow'em ups and not too much in the way of figuring out a complex plot. unless there's a huge twist at the end of course.

BBC latest 3 parter. The Control Room.
2 episodes in and I want to know what happens but don't want to watch it.like Midsommer Murders meets Some Mothers Do Ave Em. Non of the characters deserve any sympathy whatsoever.
Poor.
