We've just started this, agree with what you say.

Good man, CRS, I was out on the beer with a mate last week, who suggested I watched that, and woke up the next morning, having clean forgotten what he told me about :D

I don't really post in this thread but the things that have really stood out for me this year have been The Gold, Blue Lights, Colin From Accounts and Beef.

The worst was what little I watched of Rain Dogs, but then I've strongly disliked everything I've seen involving Daisy May Cooper.

Not seen Beef but agree with the rest.
I’m also not a fan of Daisy May Cooper.

This Country was outstanding, one of the best British sitcoms of recent times.

I watched Nicholas Cage battling the possessed animatronic mascots that were resident at the abandoned Willy's Wonderland. He managed to go the entire film without uttering a single word.

He's been in some strange movies over the years has Mr Cage.

I really enjoyed that film.

Color out of Space is another weird one as is Mandy and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Some good films there.

Was shown on BBC Scotland up here but is available on iPlayer and is well worth an hour’s viewing.
Some great archive footage of a golden period for Aberdeen culminating in that memorable run to winning the European Cup Winners Cup Final against mighty Real Madrid, having also knocked out Bayern Munich in the Quarter Finals. Talk about doing it the hard way

That was a hell of a team Aberdeen had back then with Willie Miller, Alec McLeish, Mark McGhee, Gordon Strachan, Jim Leighton et al. Willie Miller was an outstanding defender who would have graced many a top flight English team at the time.
Everyone who loved football in the 80s should watch this. It is excellent

Watched the concluding episodes of Dalgliesh - the good news is , there'll be a Series 3 , never saw Series 1 .

Then finished off the evening with Gogglebox [ look out for a nice little 70 year old lady who claims to wear CFM shoes - she had us in stitches ] - and E5 of Colin From Accounts .

Colin From Accounts has been a revelation - Australian comedy which is deserving of your time - it's brilliant .

We hadn't seen it and decided to 'binge' watch it. Big mistake, it's very good but after about three episodes we lost the will and never went back to it. My advice would be to watch it one at a time.

Other DM Cooper stuff we've watched and enjoyed:-

Am I Being Unreasonable.
Rain Dogs
Both very good but kept the watching to a couple or one at a time.

Started a French thing on Netflix instead, Black Butterflies. The first episode was excellent.

Air, the Nike Air Jordan story thing with Affleck & co. Very enjoyable, but spookily similar in theme to the recent Tetris movie, without being quite as much fun. Still worth a watch, though.

If you can find it on catch up I'd recommend watching the first series as it was also excellent :newthumb:

Watched it last year - it's excellent - highly recommended .

Jen threatened to ditch Disney + the other day so I tried finding something that might justify me keeping it .

So I chose ' Justified ' .

Modern Western type of show with US Marshall being forced to re-locate to his home town in Kentucky for shooting a baddie in Miami .

Timothy Olyphant plays Marshall Raylan Givens .

I found this show refreshingly different with its own brand of charm , if you're into your Western themed shows you'll enjoy this one . 8.5/10

Think it's on one of those add-on channels that appear on AP - I'm paying enough for TV as it is but thank you just the same . :newthumb:
