I've been back to Newham once in 18 months. Saddened to hear that as I often enjoyed their pasties.chigwells finest wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 1:59 pm would be perfect as they've ceased trading a year ago

I'm never wearing one with a gambling company on it, so it's great. You can probably still pick up last year's somewhere online I'd have thought.

Yeah, they've been doing that for the last few years now.Eggs'n'nuts wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 1:58 pm Not sure if this has been posted already, but according to Eggs Jnr. 1, the club are selling our new shirt without "Betway" on it.
Bitter sweet for me as I do like a shirt without feeling like a billboard when I'm wearing it, but I really can't warm to our new strip.

That’s a great story.
Shame about the Des Kelly Interiors. Should have gone for a CBD company.

Shame, I used to like that club.
I guess you can brand something so much that it ceases to be what it was.

Re: The new kits thread
Ah, I love this thread.
The Cercle logo redesign has gone very wrong. Laughed out loud when I saw it on twitter the first time.
Bochum is a sweet surpise, Mizuno is back and the design is really nice. But Nürnberg is yet another mid-tier adidas club with underutilized jersey potential. Almost all clubs other than the really big global "brands" get this treatment from them now. Glad we don't have them right now.
(Btw., Wolfsburg has VW because the club is historically owned by a subsidiary of VW, always been a company team. And their "pleeeeease pay attention to me!" green on the shirts every year is annoying)

How dare you mention the latter two legends in one sentence with Betway? If we rocked up with "Dagenham Motors" against all the Spotifies, Etihads, Emirates, Bitcoins and Bet-whatevers of the world, I'd buy even the most hideous looking home shirt. WITH a sponsor!Puff Daddy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 9:05 am I cannot help noticing how some clubs manage to get proper sponsors, like 'Spotify' an "VW' We get Betway, BAC double glazing, Dagenham ****ing motors.

That wasnt what I thought you were referring to at first. Saw Admiral sponsored on an Adidas kit.

Re: The new kits thread
Seems almost impossible to think 1 shirt could offend everyone concerned but somehow Newcastle pull out all the stops on this one and offend those that hate selling their soul/identity for money and to offend those that practice Islam promoting gambling on it. That's some going!

Re: The new kits thread
horrible disgusting club. hope they go down, I know they wont !
our sods are bad but newcastle`s are truly dispicable and should not have been allowed but as we know money counts in football. qatar should not have the WC and England should not be going. make a stand rather than useless knee bending !

Re: The new kits thread
I had a quick peruse of the MOTD page on Facebook (always a bad idea) - General consensus from the horse punchers is that everyone else is just “jealous”.
Definitely nothing to do with this kit being another of the slow drips of normalisation of absolute wronguns owning that club.
f*** em.

Re: The new kits thread
‘Jealousy’ is a last resort defence. You can’t justify anything so instead say that everyone else would be at it if they could.
