Re: The new kits thread
What I like about the Aberdeen one is the fact they are acknowledging their 40th year anniversary of winning the Cup Winners Cup. Thus got me thinking how nice we could commemorate our European Cuo Winners Cup win in a couple of years time commissioning a 60th anniversary of West Ham doing the same with our shirts for the 2024/25 season...
Then for the 2025/26 season commission a World Cup winning one too.

Austrian shirts are regularly ruined by sponsors. That can be fun to watch, however. TSV Hartberg, a year ago. See what you notice...
That wasnt what I thought you were referring to at first. Saw Admiral sponsored on an Adidas kit.

Re: The new kits thread
Orient 3 kits, interestingly sponsored by Harry Kane, fair play to him, supporting the team that gave him his first start.
“I am thrilled to be sponsoring Leyton Orient’s the Leyton Orient 2022-23 home uniform for a third season. I was born only a couple of miles from Orient’s stadium and am really happy to give back to the Club that gave me my first professional start."
Kane chose three different charities to appear on Orient's 22-23 kits.

That Barca one will be popular. Really like it. Much better than their horrible home shirt.

I cannot help noticing how some clubs manage to get proper sponsors, like 'Spotify' an "VW' We get Betway, BAC double glazing, Dagenham ****ing motors. What next,l Ercans Fish n' chips ?

I don't think we can quite compare our position to that of Barcelona, who are one of the most widely popular clubs in the world, and Wolfsburg, who are a Volkswagen owned team.Puff Daddy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 9:05 am I cannot help noticing how some clubs manage to get proper sponsors, like 'Spotify' an "VW' We get Betway, BAC double glazing, Dagenham ****ing motors. Re: The new kits thread
I see Brentford are using their same home kit this season from last season and Nike are in talks with clubs they supply for two year kit cycles!
Can't see many Premier League clubs wanting to lose that revenue?

The clubs make very little from shirt sales - ~10% is fairly standard, supposedly. Liverpool apparently have a ~20% deal with whoever does theirs.Jackanakanory wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 10:05 am I see Brentford are using their same home kit this season from last season and Nike are in talks with clubs they supply for two year kit cycles!

A £50 shirt sale sees the club get a fiver. A million shirt sales make it £5m.
I rarely buy a shirt - and if I do I buy it when it's knocked down - but if I know a shirt is going to be relevant for a couple of years I might be more likely to buy one regularly than currently when there are just repeatedly new kits.

Re: The new kits thread
Not sure if this has been posted already, but according to Eggs Jnr. 1, the club are selling our new shirt without "Betway" on it.
Bitter sweet for me as I do like a shirt without feeling like a billboard when I'm wearing it, but I really can't warm to our new strip.
