The shoulder stuff does look a bit weird but I'm sure it will look better in the flesh. Not that I'll be buying it.

I loved the Payet season kit and last seasons was not bad. Apart from that, I havn't been a fan.

Don't mind that at all, other than it needs more light blue on the arms.
I don't buy them anyway, so don't really care that much.

Re: The new kits thread
It looks a lot better than the Bukta shirt looked to be fair.
Not sure if that is a compliment or not though as the Bukta shirt was one of (if not THE) worst home shirts we have ever had in my opinion.
I do like the fact we have moved away from the multi coloured badge now, this version is far more subtle and pleasing on the eye. The castle not being there doesn't bother me at all as we have plain crossed hammers for 60 odd years before the castle was added in the 80s. The wording bothers me far more, just get rid of it all and have the badge like my avatar on here.
Nothing will ever beat a traditional design with claret body and blue sleeves for many of us at a certain age. The younger generation will no doubt not mind us mixing it up a bit each year. Just another one of the many traditions that have been and gone.

Re: The new kits thread
I don't actually mind it. For some reason I have it in my head that it is the sort of shirt that would really suit Payet.
The U18s version without Betway will actually be quite a decent leisure shirt, if you like that sort of thing.

Re: The new kits thread
Don't really understand the last point. We've been throwing in a "non traditional shirt every few years since Admiral turned out this one in '76. I'd argue that almost 50 years of it makes it something of a tradition of it's own.sutts07 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 1:18 pm It looks a lot better than the Bukta shirt looked to be fair.

I think we're lucky that we have colours and natural past designs that allow us some creativity, imagine being a Newcastle etc. Bloody Boring.

I don't mind them experimenting, to a point but not when the shirt looks ****. Subjective of course, others will like it but to me it's naff. No big drama though, just another seasons money saved on pricey clobber.

Re: The new kits thread
As much as I prefer a traditional design, I wouldn't mind it too much if the blue and white on the shoulders were solid bands but the scratching makes it look a Mr Byrite £1.99 special offer shirt from the early 90s

Would prefer it if the collar was all one colour, but other than that it's not too shabby.

Re: The new kits thread
Just seen a leaked photo
Home kit: Claret Shirt, blue sleeves, gold trim on bottom of sleeve
Away Kit: Navy blue with yellow/lime green trim (Looks like Seattle Seahawks)
3rd kit: Black, check pattern, gradient red to orange trim and sponsor. Or as I called it, flame grilled kit.
Anyone know if any truth to it? Looks a bit edited and blurry so could be just photoshopped.

Re: The new kits thread
Better than the original (very low bar as could anything have been worse). Not keen on the mixture of white and blue on the sleeves. Would have preferred if it was just the blue “stripes”. Think the “faded” or whatever look is what saves it. Had they been solid colours would have been truly horrendous.
