Harry Kane at Lords ‘commentating’ on the hundred. They’ve butchered cricket now they’ve sprinkled ‘mumbles’ on top.

Brother in laws who boast about their extensive Rolex collection but can’t pay their bill at the bar/restaurant/supermarket.

On a similar note my sister and brother in law haven’t had a pot to piss in for years, have all the latest gadgets, most modern phones etc their lavish expenditure resulted in them entering into an IVA a few years ago. I on the other hand have always been careful with money, saved for a rainy day (which in their eyes means I’m tight, but I have always been happy to spend money on stuff I think is worth it and also experiences and nice holidays.dasnutnock3 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 4:55 pm Brother in laws who boast about their extensive Rolex collection but can’t pay their bill at the bar/restaurant/supermarket.
The fact that they introduce me to people I have never met as their tight brother in law has been grating on me for a few years now and last night it came to a head. I met their potential future son in law and needless to say I was introduced as the tight uncle by their daughter. Instead of laughing it off I proceeded to explain it was me who paid to take her mum to New York and it was me who paid the £500 bar bill for her parents when we went to the Sky Bar in Bangkok, just 2 of the countless times we have helped them out over the years. As you can imagine it didn’t go down well but f*** em, the jokes run it’s course now and I needed to get it off my chest.
Re: Little things that irritate you
I know exactly how you feel Francoisvander. Exactly.
They’re probably jealous of you.
I get the same flack from a **** of a brother who’s always lived off hand outs & credit cards to buy the latest watch/phone/tv/car.
When he calls me tight it’s just to deflect attention from his own profligacy & financial incompetence.

She was in a garden centre and came back to find this and the culprits ****ing gone.

Re: Little things that irritate you
Another blue badge irritant - and this may come as a surprise. Someone having a good old rant on social media because they got a £70 fine for not buying a car park ticket at a country park when they parked in a disabled bay, and proper going in to one, moaning that it should be free - and of course, every one commenting with the word 'disgusting' in various spellings. It was a Kent County Council park, and each and every one has a sign at the front of the bay and in various other places stating that blue badge holders do not get free parking unless a season ticket it purchased. Said season ticket costs 8 quid a year, and you can register two vehicles to it.
Read the signs, and more importantly, read your booklet that comes with the badge. A blue badge doesn't entitle you to free parking anywhere, it entitles you to accessible parking - and it's the sense of entitlement that it should be free that does my head in.

Estate agents
You tell them your maximum price and they bombard you with houses that are 20-30k over.
