Too much beer and food at the weekend, coupled with not enough sleep, so feel as rough as a badgers arse today.
This getting old and even more of a lightweight is not a positive in my life.

Echo that clackers.
What I realised, though, was its (for me at least) not the alcohol quantity so much as the liquid volumes.
So I'm off the pints, and drinking Jamesons/JB/JD/etc..feel much better, though slightly less wealthy.

Snap - I can't do loads of pints now either, only time I do that now if it's a stag do/big night out (boys), as when I break the seal you might as well just pass the pint to me in the toilets.
On shorts, Brandy my preferred choice, only downside is the skin on face the next day feels like it is going to fall off at the slightest touch.

Twitter after a West Ham game. Could also go in the smile thread. Some of the stuff that comes out of grown men's mouths and onto that platform beggar belief sometimes.

But time for my annual post about Race week.
At least there are porta-loos everywhere this year.

Re: Little things that irritate you
It is a dreadful advert.
Seaman was a top goalkeeper for many a year, so maybe not the wages of todays footballers but I imagine he is a very wealthy man all the same as money was abundant back then. So has he lost a lot of money, or does he still want a bit of limelight, or they just paid him a fortune and he thought money for old windows?

Work in general.
Seems like the older I get the worse the jobs are that I end up on. Just differing levels of crapiness, but this most recent one, boy it does take some beating.

Just never seems to end. Weekends go by in a flash and I seem to spend all of my time sat working at a computer desk, with bosses who frown upon you taking holidays (I work in sales)...Hummer_I_mean_Hammer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 9:46 am Work in general.

Re: Little things that irritate you
Utter ****wits on the road, epidode 923,343,523,423...
Driving along, the car in front of me stops and pulls part way over to turn right. I stop a bit behind them, as there's no room to pass. Car in front starts to pull away, I start to move forward into the vacated gap, when some ****hole with a deathwish screams through the miniscule gap between the cars on a motorbike at around 50mph. Literally missed both cars by inches; if I'd pulled off slightly faster, or moved slightly to the right, he'd have left bits of bike, car wings and probably his legs all over the road. Dickhead then proceeds to slalom at high speed up the high street in between other cars.
Now, in the greater scheme of things, some people may be saved by his organs, when (not if) he inevitably wipes out (assuming they're not smashed to pulp); but he is also likely to seriously injure or kill other people as he does it, or traumatise onlookers who see his high-speed suicide. All in all, what a ****!

Hah yeh.
I'm thankful it's only once or twice a month now rather than the previous 1600 miles a month on the b*stard thing a few years back.

Re: Little things that irritate you
Probably my most hated stretch of road in the UK.
Full of twats who can't drive - Yep!
Full of potholes, bumps and cracks - Yep!
Always full of traffic - Yep!
What's not to like?
... apart from everything of course.
