Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

It annoys me more how it has become a some sort of Serbian crusade, I'm not sure what his nationality has to do with it. I hope the Aussie minister pulls it again just for the fallout.

Greater Anglia in their infinite wisdom changing their timetable with no notice “because of covid” so that trains now run every 30 mins during rush hour instead of every ten.

Stood in the cold for 20 mins this morning, and when the train came it was packed.

Amazon delivery feedback requests.

I get an email after an Amazon delivery asking for feedback. I want to give positive feedback as the drivers around here are all good but when I click the link in the email, it takes me to the app then to the website. Once I’ve signed in online there’s no place to give feedback.

Seems like a waste of time and the drivers might not be getting rewarded.

Although, on an aside, I hear on the radio they may be entitled to £10,000 compensation per year they’ve worked for Amazon.

I'm with you on the cricket updates. They've been very depressing lately.

EBay or people who buy something from you then try and return for ridiculous reason.

I sold a putter recently. Got what I was asking, sent same day, delivered in 2 days, money paid out by EBay. All good.

Then I get an email saying the buyer wants to return as it’s not the right size.

I clearly stated in the description the putter length. What do they want me to do, get another one from stock cupboard.

The tried to say it was damaged. Considering I’d wrapped in nearly a whole roll of bubble wrap. Absolute chancer.

Obviously declined the return stating I had listed it with length detailed and my packaging was over the top.

Just wasted my time replying to all the emails.

Really irritated me. Hence why I’ve posted it on hear.

The BBC Sport website's Comments Section policy.

They're fine to open it up to anything beige but if there's anything actually worth discussing (i've just read the DCMS cricket report) then they shut everything down. Why is that?

They do it on women's football as well, they have a mad amount of articles on the football homepage but when England won 20-0 and the article was gushing over how amazing the team are they didn't have a comments section. I believe that was because people might question the glory in destroying such terrible opposition, and if it was really worth going that overboard about. A hard fought 1-0 win against the US or Australia or Sweden, now that would be worth shouting about.

Narratives. I suppose that's what irritates me!

To be fair.....

I'm typing these words on my phone. In a few seconds time they'll be beamed through space and will be available to be read by thousands of people on their own hand-held devices. That's mind blowing, and complaining that it takes a bit of time to log on to do so kind of shows how far we've come as a species.

Sorry.

We’ve had a car on order since August so I’ve not washed the one we’re trading in for it since then,on Wednesday I got the jetwash out and cleaned two cars…within an hour the car dealer rang up to say the new one is ready for collection!
We’ve pencilled in having GAP insurance, does anyone know if this is worth paying £500 for?
I was being pestered to take this out on a new lease car, after a bit of googling I found out to check your existing insurance policy to see if they replace a car under 1 year old like for like. Mine did so I didn't bother with it for the first year......
